I don't think those people realize that a character talking to themselves is supposed to inform the player of what they need to do or that they have finished an entire area and can leave.Oh, they complained about every aspect of it. From the characters to the quest structure design to the fact that Aloy is chatty.
Nothing about the NPCs in horizon actively ruin the game and they're all strictly background elements, which is how it always worked in the past. There's really nothing in there that's intrusive or would feel like you're partaking in propaganda. You have more quests based around saving the elderly from their Alzheimers than anything relating to CURRENT YEAR issues.So they still try to appease them and they get shat on.
Developers used to have as spine... yet this spineless halfwits would gladly ask for more.
Yes there are a ton of diverse NPCs in the game, but games like Monster Hunter have a similar breakdown of it's own NPCs.
