Can anyone here cite a time they were going to buy a game, but changed their mind upon reading the review?

My only thoughts on the matter are the following:

1. The GGers never really cottoned on to the fact that reviews for vidya gaems tended to be full of shit like biases and corruption for a long time. Seriously, IGN's handling of the Kane & Lynch stuff, or how some series would get passes due to branding were obvious as fuck. This makes them very exceptional.
2. Anti-GGers are defending hack-frauds because they value ideology over the fact that these fucks are transparent at grubbing for money. That makes them very blind.
3. Both are retarded. One side tend to be fedora wearing spergs like Homer, the other are SJWs that perfectly serve as examples of the horseshoe theory.
4. Laugh at them as they flail. LAUGH AT THEM.

Point 1 is one of the best things about it. Really, any that remembered how the Kane & Lynch stuff (it was actually done by Gamespot. They plastered the sequel on their site despite getting a 6/10) would point out how GG would miss the mark. The biased reviews thing has been going on longer than when it was started over Depression Quest. Sure one could say these reviews would have biases but then again, how many of them were paid reviews? I don't think IGN's God Hand review would be considered a paid one so much as a biased one (unless of course there really was a sort preference the reviewer had but that can be another can of worms).

Not only are anti's defending hack frauds, some may as well joined if simply to get brownie points in trying to come off as progressive if simply because they think complaining about one game is feminism despite the fact that game itself may not really be sexist.

Point 4 is the best one since both sides have been filled with autistic spergs. Whether it's more in one part or equal amounts, there is enough autism among the MRA's and SJW's to laugh at.

What began as a conflict over the transfer of consciousness from shitlord to progressive escalated into a war which has decimated a million twitter users . The GGers and the Antis have all but exhausted the bandwidth of a Titan Supercomputer in their struggle for domination. Both sides now crippled beyond repair, the remnants of their armies continue to 'sperg on ravaged host sites, their hatred fueled by over two years of total bitching. This is a fight to the death. For each side, the only acceptable outcome is the complete elimination of the other.

Consider this a warning to future generations who might get caught up with internet slacktivism:
One day, 5 years from now, someone will 'sperg on about Gamergate, as much as someone new to the internet 'spergs about All Your Base.

Well vidya is literally toys
Vidya is enjoyed by children and manchildren. And just like toys, it's just a want, not a need that is as important as food and water.

The gamergate article on wikipedia is biased. What a shame. Let's react to this like reasonable adults.

Must admit, it was pretty funny seeing the internet right act as if this was The Last Great Struggle against the Insidious Forces of Cultural Marxism. Shocked it's still ongoing though.

Of all the things I expect to be described as "sacrosanct", wikipedia is not one of them.

Vidya has literally become an amalgamation of toys, movies, and computer programming, and is actually one reason we have home and business computers that aren't a massive series of tubes only capable of 1s and 0s. Doesn't change the fact that at the core they're still fucking toys and therefore not so important as, say, food and water, and Gamergate are a bunch of spergy manchildren for crying about the evil cultural marxists because their bikini costumes in games were supposedly censored.

Why don't they just read reviews written by lots of people contributing to a final rating rather than big company reviews
Wouldn't that solve all their problems

I've been bugging girls online for gamergate for quite a while now. There is less and less of them. We're making good progress.

I was playing Dota and there was a woman on my team so I made sure to grief her and yell "go home gamer girl" every time she spoke. We lost the match and I now have a restraining order in the state of New Jersey (as if New Jersey isn't a big enough deterrent by itself), but what matters is I won the battle.

On quake live there are few regular players. I know at least half of the t3 regulars. It means I can harass the same girls over and over again.

Attacking girls get the best reactions. I've tried everyone from jews to gays to mexicans. No one defends them, no one cares.
Attack the few girls, if you are lucky you get 1 meltdown from her and 5 whiteknights, out of a dozen players.
