Ugh. Gamergate is exhausting. I don't know how anyone can be on either side of the spectrum. It's so much anger, from both sides, and in almost every instance, it's over nothing.

As far as changing things go, changing gestures isn't really all that offensive. Then again, both sides have to bitch about something. Really, if this game has any other changes that could literally screw over gameplay and balance, maybe complaints can be legit. Still, people have to get riled up over either a tranny character getting killed or a simple gesture being changed compared to gameplay getting screwed over.Some of those comments are approaching the level of self-parody. The gesture they're angry about being changed as well is apparently just a girl patting another girl on the head.

To be 100% fair though, the phrase "Really, it's about ethics in heroic adventuring" (that's the actual phrase btw) is pretty much an in-joke meme that only those who are in the know about GamerGate would know about it. Imagine if some gamer, who completely knew nothing about GamerGate, played the game and noticed the reference, he'd most likely get either confused or "wow what is this shit" because the joke is only funny to those who know about it. Not to mention that meme was like pretty old and had already sailed.
The only things notable about her now at this point are just her shitty book and movie to be coming soon. I remembered back then KotakuInAction even tried not to make her relevant at all until the UN shit because the Five Guys drama was the only thing she was relevant.
I'll look into the Star Ocean 5 drama a little bit more too, but from the looks of it it's just another overreaction shit but considering it got a response from a actual dev this would be worth reading for me.
In the meantime, have some sanity about the outrage of over a tranny character in KotakuInAction with pretty decent points instead of BLRAAGGGGGHGHGHGH IT'S TRANNIES IN MY GAMES. It's worth a read especially if you take into a lot of GamerGate's outrage mostly over a tranny character into account.
