About the Overwatch Tracer controversy, did any of those GGers realize that it wasn't completely due to the concerned dad, and that Blizzard was thinking about removing the pose before it was brought up? I mean, he didn't demand that they remove all the sexy female characters, but no, Sci-fi butts must be saved!

And it was also incredibly typical. Gamergate goes "This is the SMOKING GUN of evil evil SJW influence on video game industry at large!!!11!1!" and everyone else goes "guys, if you want to pick smoking guns, perhaps pick a smoking gun that doesn't make you look like you're, in fact, the massivebonerbrobrigade." Because every time they pick the examples, they seem to point to that direction. Not always subtly. Just saying.

That's one of the ways you tell a really stupid, conspiracy-minded "movement." They're all completely obsessed with some "smoking gun" or "silver bullet" that will instantly take out their evil oppressors.

Watch them long enough and they'll go through one after another.

There will be some INCREDIBLE revelation that totally proves their opponents are completely evil and of course, this will completely wipe them out.

Then nothing happens.

They have utter amnesia at this point and forget about that, although they'll yell about it from time to time. ZOE QUINN! MISOGYNY! BENGHAZI!

Then the next "smoking gun" will come along and they'll go apeshit again, like they completely forgot how the last bullshit didn't amount to anything.
