The fight for the soul of the internet, free speech, the right to privacy and to remain anonymous rages on, and in the small segment of this fight pertinent to vidya, known as #GamerGate, those who understand this have fought against those who seek to co-opt it for personal gain. It was an uphill battle for those who fought against the “ethics only” side, but it seemed to all pay off.
As usually happens with rebels vs the establishment style fights, those who were fighting against the “ethics cucks”(the “established order” in GG) were branded in every way imaginable: from being called doxers with no evidence to “drama whores” and undercover SJWs. Yet with a little luck and a lot of determination, now the public sees this as a fight of two legitimate sides. This is a huge accomplishment. No longer can ethics cucks simply dismiss their opposition with mockery, notice how now they use silence, and prefer not to engage. /ggrevolt/ is mostly responsible for this; an 8chan board that, despite me not being a regular user of 8chan in general, I can’t help but appreciate, for multiple reasons, their commitment to the truth, there critical thinking and above all, their refusal to trust anyone at face value. They will probably rip me for “sucking up” to them in this paragraph, and they should. Trust Nobody.
Now, I wish I could sit here and pat everyone on the back, or talk about that stream I had with vee, where, as I warned him would happened in my previous article, I kicked his teeth in. But those who follow what I do, know I don’t do “morale” shit nor do I write if there is no real need for it. So to /ggrevolt/ and everyone else who are fighting ethics cucks, SJW lights and every other form of bullshitter, the fight is not over.
Many will argue on when exactly the tide turned, but without a doubt, when Mercedes Carrera put out her video regarding the UN incident, it marked the point of no return: It put ethics cucks in a position they had never been, forced to condemn someone they simply could not go up against. They couldn’t cast out Mercedes. She was too beloved. However, while many celebrated this, I come bearing a warning: You won a battle, not the war.
