If you read it, it's not an MRA piece at all. In fact, the author himself even points out he's sympathetic to need to curb actual violence against women (and even agrees women getting told horrible things like rape and death threats are wrong), he's just mocking how they are regarding mean words on the internet as equivalent to something like physical rape and domestic abuse and calling them out on their hypocrisy.

Quotes to prove my point:

By comparison, Zoe Quinn, you filed an unconstitutional gag order on a man and stalked him with Google Alerts just in case he said anything about you because you wanted him silenced. You, Anita, you have baited trolls more than once, even produced that infamous popcorn eating GIF to spite them, and you have the audacity to complain about harassment when you’ve goaded on anyone who might not like you. Turns out my previous post about the video was kinda wrong, but boy oh boy, I'm glad to be wrong. The video was made by seattle4truth, a /ggrevolt/ sperg, and he was really fucking retarded in that thread and even /ggrevolt/ was against him. He also had a Patreon account too, which made it even more hilarious.

Oh man, this guy! A while back someone released an hour long conversation he had with someone where he was screaming half the time. It's really long, and it gets into a lot of boring insider Gamergate politics, but it's an amazing listen just to hear this guy going nuts on "John". This is actually where the "I KNOW WHO THE &#%! YOU ARE JOHN" quote from the shirt he posted came from, as well as the unfortunately much lesser known "YOU CUCKED GAMERGATE" quote.
 
Also wasn't the point that while likeabe, Don Quixote was supposed to be a relic from a bygone era with no relevance to the modern world, despite his best efforts? I never actually read the book, but if I'm not mistaken, you don't actually want to be Don Quixote, because it means that while being charming and possessing noble intentions, you're also completely irrelevant.

Also gamergaters aren't likeable.


EDIT: Mostly pointing out how hilarious it is that that one gamergater is using Don Quixote as his user name. It's like Marijan using Holden as his username without realizing that Holden was actually not a protagonist you're supposed on empathize with; it's just that the book is written well enough that sometimes you find yourself doing so anyway until you go "wait a minute, this kid's an asshole".

You also don't want to be the Don because, from what I remember, a lot of chapters involved him and Sancho being beaten up by various people. Which would probably happen to these edgelords if they tried to pull their crap IRL.
