You're deactivating rather than deleting. They don't want to completely scrub an account in the hopes that its owner will come crawling back (which they often do). Facebook does the same shit.

The only real way to delete your account is to troll hard enough the site bans it.

Also verified accounts get a 12 month grace period instead of the average 1 month, so all those butthurt celebrities throwing temper tantrums and leaving (IE: Joss) usually end up coming right back.

Is it ironic that with Kacho shitting on gamers, wouldn't he technically be what he shits on since he does play video games. Also, if that Lo Ping dude is really doing this to fuck with Kacho, he's done well since Kacho can't really shut up in being assblasted on Twitter. (and if Lo Ping's tweet that Kacho is angry over was mean't to show some sort of hypocrisy *laughing at some sort of consumerist thing until it actually affects them*, then Kacho is even denser than one would of thought)
 
Slightly off-topic but when browsing SCP the other day one of the most popular new entries was written by a guy with the username 9volt. Someone else noticed the similarity and the guy replied that he is not the 9volt we all know and love, but someone else. That said, the SCP he wrote is a veiled jab at STEMlords and literally mentions being an MRA as a side effect of this SCP, which is something I can picture 9volt writing. Is it actually him, or is this really all just one big coincidence?

Did it also bitch about gamers? Far as 9volt goes, he's more or less known for being "heh gamers" just because his precious vidya is being "held back" from being seen as an art form.

What gets me is that over three years later, people are still so scared of some mythical Golden Horde of autism running over them on Twitter that they feel the need to censor GamerGate. Or they'll use some childish term like "GooberGrape", "GabbaGape", "GibblyGlarfanbarfle" or whatever. It's really funny.

Whenever they use terms like GooberGrape I imagine what's going through their heads is 'lol these nerds take it so seriously, they'll be so riled up when I take their important ethics movement and undermine it by giving it a silly name', blissfully unaware that it just makes them look like infantile idiots. It's basically that 'lol jokes on them I was pretending to be retarded' meme.

It's even more hilarious than that, they won't even name Mombot in their tweets, because they fear her that much and don't want her to find their tweets by searching her Twitter handle..

Their solution was to write in something like m*mb*t. :story:

Which she immediately caught on and started to make fun of.
