How can a website be so stupid? do they not realize how ads work?
Ugh. Fucking jesus. This'll be wonderful won't it?![]()
Tonight.
Now every smug millennial who thinks they are so enlightened for getting their news from a comedy show will be all over this. At least it wont have any staying power.Ugh. Fucking jesus. This'll be wonderful won't it?

It's actually a common trick. Again, gotta bring up that Operation Disrespectful Nod has a basis of evidence to show it works - it's borrowing from the same playbook as Flush Rush did, and that was wildly successful. I hate bringing this story up so much in this thread, but the parallels are clear and it's really surprising just how fucking little anyone learned from that.Doesn't that defeat the purpose of ads if we can't see them?
I hope Colbert tears her to shreds (although seeing as Anita agreed to be on it, that's probably unlikely).
Still, Hope Jon Stewart and John Oliver do some actual fucking research...
Stewart's a sharp cookie, to boot. He's taken down the likes of Anita before. I'm cautiously optimistic.Colbert is pretty good at pointing out people's flaws while keeping a complementary tone. Anita is a professional victim. This could be good.
Likewise, it would be nice to see Anita taken down a peg, but, if the venue is anything less than an echo chamber hugbox Anita bails, these shows aren't shot live are they? Also, 10 optimistic ratings in 8 minutes, that's gotta be a new record.Stewart's a sharp cookie, to boot. He's taken down the likes of Anita before. I'm cautiously optimistic.

True, but at the same time we have to remember that Colbert's the man who can insult a group openly to their face and still be embraced as a member of their movement because they didn't pick up on the barbs. That's kind of what makes his work sort of brilliant. It's not live, and if Colbert didn't just nod and agree with her, I doubt Sarkeesian would have just tweeted that.
It's just going to be another echo-chamber.
By the way, didn't that Panda guy a few weeks ago say to welcome bad publicity?
I have a gut feeling it could be damaging to GG, just like how his interview with those two occupy representatives made the whole movement look like it was filled with loons.Colbert is pretty good at pointing out people's flaws while keeping a complementary tone. May be worth noting, Anita was part of the #CancelColbert movement:

look at the hashtags.
Why not just remind Colbert on Twitter or something (unless it's all been recorded by now)Oh God PLEASE let that come up!
Its been recorded and is probably favorable to Anita considering she mentioned it on her Twitter. Still I think it would be interesting to see what the response would be knowing the guest they gave favorable treatment too was attacking the show in the past. Why not just remind Colbert on Twitter or something (unless it's all been recorded by now)
