What media coverage? I watch the news and read the paper like any other normal person and I see stuff about ISIS and Ebola but the only place I hear about Gamergate is here, on blogs, and clickbate-type sites like Gawker.

I think she may have finally bit off more than she can chew, and recieve too heavy of a backlash for her bullshit. Her insensitivity towards the recently deceased by using it to shill for a book and push a blatantly sexist viewpoint could be the last straw. I hope, at least. I want her to finally be exposed for the con-artist she is and run out of gaming for good by the time gamergate is over. I don't want this to end with her still an active, respected figure in the industry. I don't think it can, because of how much influence she has and how horrible her views she's pushing are.

It's not about logic, reason, or common sense. It's about clickbaiting.

It's about saying the most offensive, ridiculous, absolutely insane thing to drive clicks and get views. If you get pissed and look at her content, she wins. If she provokes you till you respond in anger, she wins.

Interestingly, did you know that Anita writes none of her own material or tweets? It's actually quite true. Her writer is none other than Jonathan McIntosh, a guy who we've mocked here pretty resoundingly in the past for being one of the most bug-fuckingly obvious clickbait voices on Twitter (quite an accomplishment in and of itself). This is also why she never appears without having cleared her material beforehand, and will never answer a debate - she doesn't write any of her own stuff.
