A couple people in this thread have mentioned a concern about targeting SJWs, and feel we should return to the ethics and corruption charges. I don't disagree with your sentiment, but in my mind these are issues that are inextricably linked. The corruption and ethics violations have come because of SJWs and their friends (unwilling or otherwise) within the media. Leigh Alexander didn't get to power on her charm alone, she got there by brow beating, bullying, and eventually controlling a good chunk of the show. Ben Kuchera, Patricia Hernandez, Jim Sterling, these are all people without scruples who are leveraging social movements to sell their personal brand. Ben Kuchera is a writer for Polygon technically, but he's really a writer for Ben Kuchera, and his entire purpose is to sell Ben Kuchera as best he can to the people he has aligned with.
I've written a lot about Gawker, because they entered this fight willingly instead of leaving their Gaming Arm to wither and die like they should have. I'm also a little bit too heated, because I've got a bit of a temper and I also fucking loathe Gawker - I hateread their site occasionally when I'm having too good of a day and I want to get some righteous anger in me. With that said,
take a gander at their newest article, the... Jesus, what is this now? 10th article that Gawker and it's subsidiaries have written about in less than two weeks.
They lay in to Copypaste, and 8chan, because that's the new hotness everyone is terrified of and doesn't understand... but why the fuck do they go on to attack Wizardchan?
Okay Gawker, you stupid shits, let's talk about how you're really
champions of the people.
Unpaid interns for the website Gawker.com have won a round in court in their attempt to bring a class-action suit under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
A federal judge has ruled that lawyers bringing the suit can send notices to unpaid interns throughout the company who could potentially join the lawsuit.
The judge did not decide on the interns’ claims, but did rule they had sufficiently common characteristics to be certified as a class.
Dabitch also kills it again,
discussing Adobe abandoning Gawker.
Adobe, the creators of creatives favorite tools have sponsored Behance's
Bully Project Mural, a social action campaign inspired by the award-winning film BULLY.
Ironically, this is now getting them bullied on twitter.
