A vast majority of doxxing of antis is either outside trolls, false flag, or a lie. Many doxxings of pro-s are, too, but a mucch bigger portion are not.The green/purple thing had me confused. Also, I feel bad for that girl that doxxed that dude. Is it both sides that are engaging in this behavior?
Oh Lowtax, trying to be relevant and zany wacky funny. Surprised he got out of his ambien and wine cocktail to make a tweet.

Oh, and we were declared dead again despite the hashtag getting trending upwards.
So a pro-GG guy got doxxed, but he was able to figure out that a 16 year-old girl did it so he phoned her.

This breaks my heart. She's just a misguided girl that wants to fit in, and the SJW crowd is making her think that to be a "good feminist" she needs to hurt people. It's horrifying that so many young people are being taught that this is okay. Social Justice is truly toxic. I really hope that the talk she had with the pro-GG guy helps to set her straight.
How is that wrong at all? Everyone's thinking it.
No, but they found the 8chan thread talking about them and actually started posting in it. It went better than you'd probably expect.
I'm guessing the anti-GGs will find them soon enough though.
But did Todd say that his Grandma would have been against Gamergate?
A Statement About JewWario and Gamergate
Yesterday I saw a Gamergate supporter say something cruel to me on Twitter. His Twitter avatar also had a Wario hat symbol, which many of my followers have as a tribute to Justin “JewWario” Carmical, who was a late friend and colleague of mine. I got offended because Justin was one of the friendliest, most kind-hearted men I have ever met, and I responded on Twitter by saying that any Gamergate supporter who had his symbol on their avatar should remove it because Justin would not want to be associated with it.
It was dashed off and I did not think it would offend anyone, largely because I think Gamergate is a movement borne from harassment and I do not think he would want to be involved with harassment. However, I think I greatly underestimated how prominent I have become in the Gamergate controversy, and people accused me of exploiting his death for my cause. I will say this: I forget sometimes that not everyone agrees that Gamergate is a harassment cause. I think these people are deeply misguided, but I do believe that for at least some their disagreement with me is sincere, and I should have kept that in mind.
To people accusing me of weaponizing my late friend for my cause, that was not my intention. It was something I tossed off first thing after waking up after being offended by something someone said to me. I want to make clear: I have very strong opinions about how my friend would feel about the controversy and so does anyone who knew him, but I do not speak for Justin. I do not speak for my friends or my colleagues. I speak for myself only. The most regretful part of this for me is that I had just vowed to speak on the topic a lot less for the same reason that many others choose to not talk about Gamergate: for fear of blowback hitting not only myself but the people I care about.
I and everyone who knew him can attest to Justin's character, but I never intended for my statements to be used as a way to convince anyone for or against the controversy. To those who took it that way, that’s my fault for being careless, and I apologize. Again, I only speak for myself, and I vow to be more careful about how I use my public platform in the future.
Sincerely,
Todd

Telling a woman that she's wrong is sexism, guys.
LW3 likes to call the guy a sexist just because she alone can't do a statistical analysis. If a woman were to be the one insinuating, LW3 would say that woman is an "internalized misogynist". She must like to throw the sexist cards at those pointing out the facts.![]()

LW3 was a man by birth? Considering that, LW3 would set back transsexual game developers back? I ask that since she is a game developer.Just making sure, but isn't Brianna Wu actually really a man by birth? Because that doesn't sound like a sexism, that sounds like one man calling another a dumbass.
Reminds me of this
That is what one of the comments said. Also think that same comment or one of the other ones said it looks boring as well.Reminds me of this

I can't hear the audio at work so I'm sorry if it's some kid on his webcam being obnoxious, and you don't have to watch the whole thing. That said that Revolution 60 game imo looks fucking boring

Devfag here. I just want to put something in perspective.
>Video game sales in the US dropped 21% in 2013
>Sony in financial dire straits
>Wii U isn't selling as well as expected
Let's be honest here for a minute - It isn't just shitty journalism, shitty games, and scrubs, the video game industry is crashing.
You might not see it immediately, but the ripple effect of GG will be felt for years to come. The damage has already been done. Sponsors are going to continue to back out, because a certain group of journos decided to make video games a political blogging battleground.
When these hipster sites have a nobody journalist putting Intel on blast and accusing them of misogyny, boldly discussing business relationships on public social media, other companies are noticing that this is no longer a safe place to push their products to a receptive audience. These are multinational corporations, their allegiance lies with the customer, and they will continue wanting nothing to do with affiliates who openly and proudly drive away their customers and make high-school level insults against far their own (far superior) business partners.
When it comes time for those sponsors to renew their contracts, they won't want anything to do with either side of this debate. They'll back out completely. The mainstream video game market will crash like 1983. Mark my words.
I'm a dev. I have a lot of connections in tech. Even in this day and age, it's extremely unprofessional for respected people in the industry to say a single thing about their personal life – whether it be sexuality, marital status, and especially political affiliation. Openly discussing such things in public is seen as toxic behavior in the upper brass any industry. It's a one-way road to alienating potential clients, customers, and partners. Business is business, home is home.
These journalists no longer serve their function to anyone - not their sponsors, the devs who butter them up for reviews, nor the consumers. They are a barrier between the consumer and the product.
When the market crashes, you're going to see a lot of smaller devs come out of the woodwork. Their games probably won't be as pretty as the latest AAA has gotten everyone used to, but I can assure you they'll be great games. Just like the ones we used to see. The only people left after the dust settles will be the developers who love making games, and the consumers who love playing them.
You've already won, GG. The media wouldn't be in such a frenzy to denounce you if you had lost. They've failed to contain you. Your reach extends to the *Chans, Tumblr, Reddit, Twitter, and beyond. You are the new audience. You are the people that we will be making games for from here on out.
At this point, you're just twisting the knife. Keep it up, they deserve every bit of it. Nobody wants to see them in the industry – but at the same time, most devs and sponsors aren't dumb enough to Tweet about it. We're too busy working to continue providing the goods and services you hold dear. Unlike the megaphones, we're not just going to talk about it, because we're already too busy doing it.
No but he sort-of kind-of apologized for using his dead friend as a cudgel in an internet slap fight. His excuse: "I was really offended so you can't be too mad at me for doing that, I was offended and that makes it okay stop using my own words against me and my friends/employers."

Between Todd's post and the leaked Gawker emails discussing a need for twitter policing, this leads me to a single thought. Why the fuck do companies need public and always available ways to communicate with their customers? What fucking good has a twitter account EVER done for a journalist, an airlines, a politician? The only thing it has done is given a public venue to bitch at these people, and given them a public venue to be human and act well within their rights to be gigantic assholes... in public, forever, where their words will be used against them.
Our side has learned that from years spent in online chatrooms, in Xbox Live Lobbies, in TF2 pickup games, on forums and message boards and skype and AIM. We say some pretty horrendous things in jest too, or while angry, fuck I've done it too because it's human nature to lash out... from burner accounts, or from one of the many identifies we assume.
We, for the most part, have learned that from years, or decades, of online interactions. They haven't yet. And until they do, until companies decide twitter has lost them more money and customers than it's gained, or when they decide that Facebook, public and personal, should be banned for all employees, this is going to continue happening to our opponents.
Wait hold on this shit really happened? You'd think that they'd have learned from the Mountain Dew incident.
