Zoe's "charity" that she set up in response is a page to donate directly to her PayPal and there isn't any updates on any games, plans, end dates, anything.

Just donated to TFYC for shits and giggles too.

I said I won't be doing shit in indie games, but 1) Whatever the hell they're doing is probably more interesting than the indie games I last bought (ok it was Mountain, don't judge me, OK, I just love art games), 2) the current humblebundle is Windows-only shit and only has 1 fucking DRM-free game, 3) $5 is, like, much less that number in euros and 4) I'm sooooo drunk.

There are no words for how darkly humorous this entire thing has become. It's caused /v/ and /pol/ to get revenge in the most hilarious and beautiful sort of way, the sort of thing we've usually put beneath the capacity of their abilities. The Quinn Shitstorm has managed to unite groups which by all accounts, previously could not be united; rather than the chans sitting idly by, they've coalesced into a veritable juggernaut, all centered around the prospect of milking as much hilarity and win as possible from this as they can.

The hands of the primary culprits have been exposed, Phil Fish's all-too-personal stake in this entire self-sustaining nuclear fire-storm of insanity has been revealed, and all that's really left for us to do is just sit back and delight in the madness of it all. This is the biggest thing to come out of games journalism in fucking years, and it's a damning indictment of how much of a cliquish batch of fuckery it's become.

When the whole shit with Phil Fish and his cancellation of Fez 2 began, it was kind of hard to effectively criticize him at the time. At one end, it was very clear to anyone with a few functioning neurons that he was an egotistical assclown who was, like all of the lolcows we chronicle here on the CWCki, a serial self-aggrandizer and, to be charitable, kind of an asshole. On the other, this was also clearly a man who'd been ground down by a lot of how bitter the gaming community could honestly be. Therein lay the duality, and Fish himself, at least for a time, was big on using this to his advantage.

And then this whole thing brought that crashing down.

Now, upon retrospect, we have to give credit for those who had the wherewithal to call Fish out on his shit in the first place. Even though Fish may at some point have had a legit point in his criticisms of the industry, at the end of the day, there's a reason that he's waist-deep in this scandal and continuing to scream at people from Twitter - he is, as many said flat-out a while ago, a self-important asshole and a blatant hypocrite. I feel genuinely sympathetic towards those who, for whatever reason, wound up taking Fish's side at the outset; the longer he's gone on, the more he's proven that he was never worthy of the support he gained.
 
I really hope this issue doesn't fade away quickly. There needs to be a more serious discussion on the subject of corruption in video game journalism and the derailing of this incident based on gender. I mean Anita had her go and now we have SJWs running all over the place crying, "Misogyny!" where it doesn't apply, as a magical Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free card to unlawful practices, and a way to distract from the main issue at hand. Not only that, but gaming websites are so timid about covering this problem that they've sat around and twiddled their thumbs in the hopes that it doesn't land them in hot water.

[NEW UPDATE]: TFYC (the company that created 4Chan's character) just got hacked.

It's now been taken offline. Site originally had a link to that really old "YOU ARE AN IDIOT! HAHAH!" music and:

"Dear /V/

We think it is abhorrent what you are doing to Zoe Quinn and other indie devs. Indiegogo does not support hacking or other illegal activity that comes from your message board, We are shutting this fundraiser down before things get more out of hand.

i really hope it's someone in zoe's camp because it would underscore that these people are fucking terrible and completely dedicated to the cult surrounding sj instead of real issues

edit also as of now the website's up and running but the indiegogo is not. perhaps the stream of messages saying "IM MAD BECAUSE PEOPLE I DONT LIKE ARE UPSTAGING ME IN A GRANDIOSE, MAGNIFICENT WAY - er i mean MISOGYNY GAMERS 4CHAN HARASSMENT HATE MACHINE WHITE MEN" that the site received was too much and they took it down

How long is this fucking ruse cruise going to take us? This hack is pro-sjw and it features that fucking /V/ shit. The same /V/ that hacked Zoe and Phil. Did they actually get the brains to hack someone other than themselves or is this a third/fourth party?
 
Seriously though, whoever did this can go play in traffic. You must be a massive cunt with a serious case of buttrage to take down a good cause like TFYC and fuck over their $25000 raised.
