I was all for the "any publicity is good publicity" angle because, lets be real, it's a random indie game nobody would take note of otherwise. But you have to at least try and claim innocence. It may be bullshit, it may be proven wrong but you have to keep at it. You have to be at a certain level of fame/notoriety/whatever to use to "go for broke" method. A Charlie Sheen can do it and Zoe, she's no Charlie Sheen. It's bad when Chris Brown and Mel Gibson are able to play the "I'm not an asshole" game than you are.

God dammit Zoe.

Nice joke! But there's a worthy answer for me to give you, because I should point out that if we did a review, Nathan wouldn't be allowed to do it, though I also am sure he'd never ask to.

Disclosure is important. Bias is always a risk. Everyone's human, so you can't ever guard against all of it, but you've got to make a proper effort. We used to have someone on staff who had a personal connection to a big game company so he recused himself from that company. It's not often that there are those connections, but if they exist, the writer will either recuse themselves or, if for some reason they HAVE to be the one covering the thing, there will be transparent disclosure. Longtime readers of this site will know that, if anything, I go overboard with trying to explain what we're doing, why we're doing it, talk through our mistakes, learn from them, try to meet readers' growing expectations, etc.

Oh I see. Well the boyfriend claims on his tumblr that his main goal was to warn the world of what a crooked, manipulative piece of crap she was. His main assertion about sex-for-press are some posts where she mentioned how many of the Five Guys could make life for her and her company difficult -- this Nathan Grayson guy she said could go into hysterics if she wasn't careful.

Sometimes when reading that you have to stop and model what's happening with salt shakers or anything at hand.

So the tweet is actually a fake? Feeling rather dumb for believing. Still, to see that Patreon she has:
This patreon is for the crazy amount of free content I create, usually consisting of at least one free game release every month, but also covers all of the articles, guides, videos (like the upcoming show Indie Garbage), and other misc things I create.

She claimed her twitter was "hacked" yesterday and if that message was ever posted, it undoubtedly came from that.

I believe she faked that, but the point is it isn't a tweet she posted because she believes it. No SJW would have phrased it like that ("cheating" is a big red flag).

fun fact about my autistic ass (skip)

i once entertained the idea of making SPURGS: A Post-Apocatistic Roleplaying Game (if you get the reference thats chill gamers). i started making it while learning C+ in my spare time. it mechanically revolved around one stat and one roll, with a few characters going through a branch of encounters with different actions able to be taken (thing of ye old commodore text games). i got about 30% done in two days over the course of a few hours (character creation, the UI and the first few encounters) before taking my anti-autism shots and realizing it was a stupid idea.

that game, where the player selected a hero and rolled a random number generator from 1-10, was more of a game than depression quest, and it fucking sucked. you guys would laugh at how bad the coding was. awareness is fine and all, but its a "game" in the same way that, well, CYOA books are. theres no usage of the medium at all. i'm not trying to a-log "oh look at me im better" because i'm not; it's just a pet peeve of mine when retards get touted as revolutionary or groundbreaking for dressing up old concept with modern paint.

tl;dr im mad about video games

I believe the tweet originated when she claimed her twitter was "hacked" by 4chan. I don't believe she was hacked, I believe she made that post herself but I don't think it's supposed to be a statement she actually believes. For one thing, such a black hole of manipulation and despair would never call what she did, in public, "cheating". They were "relationship problems".
