The single worst impact of Gacha Games is that every Waifu Gacha starting from Genshin has already taken away all standard anime and video game discourse. It's like you see anime girls being drawn right now, 60% of the time they are from some sort of Gacha Game and 30% of the time it's Touhou or Vocaloid-related.

And it's justified because the DEI/Judeo-Christian Moral Guardians and Payment Processors already drove all of the Waifu Gaming and anime industry away and the App Store and Play Store is the only way they could thrive at this era.

It's a very grim outlook for the future of both the Video Game and the doujin genre.
I recall a friend of mine saying he has zero interest in gacha characters because "they all feel like design by committee" in terms of what they think will get whales to jizz themselves and declare said cardboard cutout as their new waifu.

As an example, he said there were Hoyoshit characters he said ticked boxes for appearances that appeal to him, and then they tack more and more shit into impracticality and it loses appeal to him. Not to mention gacha characters tend to suffer the worst in having non existent personalities and screen time.

Here's the odd thing, IMO it's usually the other way around in terms of Hoyo Gachas unless they are running for 6 years or more. It's the same for Blue Archive or Nikke.

Wuthering Waves or Stella Sora are the absolute worst offenders of this IMO since at one point you can't tell which is which out of like a couple of them.

The problem here is that it's simply a very grim prospect on how the future of entertainment will be.

Literally 100% Gacha or AI slop with nothing else in-between.

Your “friend” sounds autistic.

The quality of anime had been plummeting for decades. After a show's initial run ends and the seasonal anime fandom moves on, it is almost never good enough to endure and be recommended like how Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion are eternally recommended. The most recently released classic anime that are still recommended are Death Note, FMAB, and Fate/Zero. That was over a decade and a half ago. Nobody is recommending that you spend your time watching Darling in the Franxx or Eighty-Six today. Both the audiovisual quality and the writing has become too mediocre compared to alternative uses of your free time. Kadokawa, A1 Pictures, and all of those companies kept greenlighting disposable isekai after isekai.

You had the higher ups at Bandai Namco turning their head in confusion wondering why Gundam viewership is watching, thinking that they need to pivot to high school lesbians to appeal to new generations rather than firing their writers and bringing in professionals who can keep audience engagement.

Same deal with videogames. At the turn of the millennium, Final Fantasy was pumping out hit after hit every year. Pokemon was all the rage. Fast forward to the 2020s and most of the JRPG studios are dead or are not doing anything. VNs are dead, even studio Key is making gachas now. The old timers at Square Enix and Pokemon can't make good games anymore. Nobody recommends FF16 or new Pokemon games. Nobody is enthusiastic about new pokegirls like with Misty, May, Dawn, or even Serena. Square Enix preferred to squander their FF14 money on funding Nomura and Kitase's remake mockery's of FF7 rather than reinvesting into making the game better, or making good new FF games.

And the Japanese did not take overseas markets seriously. They kept delaying Western releases until long after it was no longer new and novel and the product had already been pirated and fansubbed. Aniplex was jacking up prices to ridiculous degrees. Lolcowlizers ran rampant and numerous attempts were made to contact and inform the Japanese creators. Most of them did not care. Japan struck had gold in their hands with Granblue Fantasy and Fate/Grand Order, which were titan gachas in Japan, but dragged their feet bringing them to the West. Fire Emblem and Trails were launching years after their Japanese releases. And so on.

CyGames and Typemoon made their gacha billions, and then instead of reinvesting that money into making a game with higher production values, they were complacent and decided to just running their 2D jpeg games. You have the president of Square Enix complaining that they should have been the ones to make Genshin Impact when they greenlit 25 cheap cashgrab mobile games and then EOSed them, and are then confused as to why people don't get invested in Square mobile games.

After Mihoyo made it with Honkai Impact 3rd, they did not remain complacent. They reinvested their money into stepping up their next project. They paid attention and knew that within a few years, phones would be powerful enough to play good looking 3D games, and began developing one in anticipation for that day. And they did not treat foreigners as an afterthought. They had their game have a simultaneous crossplatform global launch. Their games are also much more democratic than the Japanese. The players vote with their wallets for what they want to see more of, be it getting certain kinds of characters or TV mode ripped out. While the JRPG developers ignore longstanding fandom complaints because they are cushioned by investors.

The Japanese have only themselves to blame for losing their marketshare.

Again, blame Globalists and Payment Processors for it.

I am 99.999% sure that companies like Key (and other VN companies) had to resort to the Gacha Industry and Toei had to resort to spamming safe Isekai and sitcoms because otherwise all the DEI moral guardians will go ballistic. If Evangelion or Death Note were to be released now, there will be shitstorms after shitstorms and whoever made it will be cancelled.

This is Globalism in a nutshell and if you look at western "entertainment" this is possibly the best-case scenario and it's not because it's good. It's because the alternative outcome is infinitely worse.

As for the Chinese? They don't even stand a chance if they didn't go to the Gacha industry like Mihoyo because the CCP was much more lenient in that aspect compared to what shows up on TV. If Mihoyo was a company making legitimate video games for say, Playstation they will go out of business in months.

So will the Japanese find a way to take back the Gacha industry if the CCP decides to ban Gacha Games in the future, as they have shown their hand with the Snowbreak shitshow? Or will the Japanese still stay stagnant and do nothing, and which country would take over the Gacha industry as a result?

Again, blame Globalists and Payment Processors for it.

Would the Globalists and the Payment Processors be able to take down China's Gacha Game industry by themselves? Or would only the CCP be able to do that? And is DDOSing a Chinese Gacha Game servers possible, like say a DDOS attack equal to the ones KF gets will be able to pull that off? Or does the CCP actually invest into anti-DDOS protection to keep their sites up and running?

Some Youtubers complaining about Goblin Slayer killing goblins did not get the Japanese to stop producing that show.

It has been six years since Genshin released and the Japanese have not stepped up their game to match. The loss of Chinese competition would not spur them on.

Here's the thing. The App Store and Google Play Store were no man's lands for a very long amount of time and the bar for content regulations there were much higher than they do with say, under Sony or Nintendo. Azur Lane only has to fear the CCP, for example. The mainland chinese version is censored but once out in Global they have no restraints at it. Nikke even has off-screen sex scenes.

So theoretically, if they can single handedly take care of the console waifu/fanservice game industry, they could (and that's not even getting into what is actually allowed on TV, which are now following global standards rather than national standards). But since I guess that the goal is to force all of those creative stuff into Gacha purgatory at the time being and fill the surface cleargaming with slop, they might be fine with it.

When Goblin Slayer, Uzaki-chan, Dragon Maid and Nagatoro were made, the elites haven't completely compromised the Payment Processor Networks and Sony yet.

A couple redditors are not an issue but when Payment Processors and Sony get compromised by Crypto-Jewish Globalists and starts setting regulations in the favor of these cretins, there is a problem.

It's around the time where Senran Kagura and co. got fucked over by Sony that things go for the worst. It's around 2018 something if I remember correctly.

Nikke is the "ass" game right? how much "ass" dose a 15 year old Japanese girl in a kimono have?

A Chinese man is suing Tencent, NetEase, miHoYo, and 37 Interactive Entertainment for 10 RMB ($1.50), blaming the games for causing his son to overdose on pills. / Archive

Thankfully, his son did survive after getting emergency treatment. And I'm surprised that there haven't been any more lawsuit being made against Gacha Games, like how US States are filing lawsuits against Valve for CSGO/DOTA 2/TF2 lootboxes.

It also appears that the man filed this lawsuit as a scapegoat because of the pressure on the child with the Gaokao (college entrance exam) coming up for him.

I don't know even when to start. I'll start that Asians don't give a shit about anyone outside their countries so they won't care about moral guardians unless it's internal criticism of the state of their countries. What's happening with JRPGs and VNs dying is the same as western RPGs dying once every company tried to make its own WOW-Killer. And they've been at it for 15 years now, way before the current issues with payment processors.

Japan specifically has a massive issues of brain drain, with the people that built up its entertainment industry retiring and being replaced by incompetents. If you want good VNs look at Chinese and Korean markets who does things that are a lot more innovative.

It doesn't really matter if Sony can just not let your game in unless you make some "adjustments" to "protect women".

This is how Senran Kagura got killed and Neptunia got gutted, and the reason why a lot of the non-gacha games right now are much more tame compared to anything from the late 90s to the early new 10s.

Mind you before around 2017-ish you can literally publish games as spicy as Nikke or ZZZ in Playstation.

Speaking of Senran Kagura,

The lewdness is still there but sadly, it can only exist in mobage format.

Off topic, but i think the reason the Fate Extra remake is never coming out is because no publisher wants to publish it without having the game all lewd/ecchi content censored.

And Another Eden does the usual Japanese game routine of forbidding people from livestreaming their game:

Is Japan's extremely anal copyright laws to the point that it would make Concordverse and other wokeshit games actually more popular, because you can actually watch gameplay of them (and then close out the stream at your own time), and you don't have to waste your money buying those games? And has one of those woke games actually tried to capitalize on the said Japanese copyright laws, by including the "livestream our game at anytime" in marketing, like how Cities Skylines had the "play offline" advertising tagline in response to SimCity 2013 being an always-online game?

Old Japanese businessmen are infamously incorrigible. This has been documented countless times in multiple different industries. They are slow to get with the times and recognize what is going on, and don't care to really understand overseas norms.
