Fwiend needs help with discord b.s.

Hello fellow kiwis
TLDR a friend got their discord hacked and we can seem to get past the 2 factor authentication part of the password reset. I suspect that the hacker made it so that they are the ones who have that authentication part of the password set up thing. Is there anything I can do to help?

Send the hacker a thank you card for getting your "friend" off Discord.

Just make a new account. I’ve had friends who got their discords hacked and they just came back on new accounts. If they have nitro on the account, they can quickly cut that off via calling their bank. Hope everything works out for your friend

Send them an email from the address used to register and explain "I have lost access to my account and believe it to have been compromised at [X] date. Wherever my 2fa is going, I do not have access to it." This is not just a Discord thing, this is probably something you'd have to do in person, bringing government ID, if it's something like banks, etc. Discord's a little more relaxed.
