People who threaten suicide to manipulate others almost never go through with it. They generally only ever kill themselves by accident (the pills kick in before they can make the phone call to 911 etc.) Real suicides just up and do it.

She might actually go through with suicide given she was raped by her own son and all. If her choices are die in the hoard and end it quick, or linger on in a home? Suicide seems better, even understandable for her. It just wouldn't surprise me.

Barb's too selfish to kill herself.

if she was going to kill herself she would have already done it

Where on earth can I find the info about her totaling the van? I need to see that shit.
I think it’s in the Kengle letter thread. I’m not sure how much info the CWCki has.

I hope she sold all of his shit like some people think she did and used the money for the mortgage.
Doubtful. It’s not worth the trouble.

Why would she kill herself now? She finally escaped her rapist son. Mortgage trouble aside, her life is better. Maybe after all these years she has realised egging her son to be her eternal caretaker isn't what it's cracked up to be (even without the rape he was a useless nuisance), and maybe she can enjoy her twilight years in beautiful, peaceful solitude.

Do people who love to cause drama as much as Barb has in the past enjoy peace and quiet?

I've known drama queens who will do whatever it takes to get away from abusers and make the most of their situation

You'd think getting raped by your son might make even people like barb want to take a break from others. Then again, people cope differently all the time. How Barb is coping noone knows.

I was thinking if the collapse of the hoard and losing the house came to pass she might do it..or just die in the house. There is the strain of adjusting to a know place. Though she was also, presumably, raped in the house as well. I just can see her refusing to want to leave the house and hoard.

I mean hoarders hate giving up the hoard, and most don't threaten suicide as a means to keep it. Barb isn't easy to figure out.

Whatever happens, it's going to be dark

Everything is, eventually.

I believe the carfax report on Son-Chu is on the CWCki. Possibly also the accident report. Search for son-chu.

Among other things, Barb needed Chris to drive her around. Barb proved that fairly conclusively last November.

Consider that Barb'll die alone

Barb will die alone. Almost everyone dies alone. The exceptions are… unfortunate.

Whatever they get from it would not be worth the gasoline to drive to the second hand store. It's not worth the gas to drive to the dump. Likely it was all boxed up just to make room to clean the house and the boxes were put in a corner somewhere.

Chris had tens of thousands of weens, white knights, and taxpayers' dollars dumped into his hoard. Even if you only sell them at 10% of their purchase value (since much of it is not mint in box anymore), you could still get in the low four figures selling off his shit.

Not to mention the rare one-of-a-kind sonichu shit. Auctioning off his binder of original art would easily go for thousands. Remember when the Sonic Totem went for $1500?

Some fan would kill to own the ORIGINAL hand-drawn Sonichu issue #0.

It's far easier to piss money into a hoard than extract that money back out.

Only if you're willing to go to the effort of finding the market willing to spend that 10% on it. How likely are Barb, Tom, and Harriet to do that?

They'd haul it all to the closest second hand store and maybe not get charged to bung it into the dumpster out back.

But here's the thing, had Barb taken Chris' hoard to the market willing to drop that kind of cash on Chris artifacts, we'd already know about it.

Because we are that market. (For a certain definition of "we".)

I think the latter is more likely. A famous pair of hoarding brothers comes to mind.

Most people who threaten suicide over things like this don't really carry through with it, they usually use it as a form of emotional control.

Honestly some ween should walk up to Barb's door and offer her $1k in cash on the spot to buy Chris' binder. If she tries to grumpily haggle, have another $1k on hand to let her talk you up a bit. Buy the binder. Barb needs the the money anyway so I think we could agree that this is actually doing good for her rather than just trolling.

It's only mildly pozloading my neghole and I can wholeheartedly support this course of action if anyone wants to do it.

Until Chris finds out the binder was sold, anyway.

A truly terrifying truism, that.

Most people who threaten suicide over things like this don't really carry through with it, they usually use it as a form of emotional control.

Another truism. If you're actually going to kill yourself, you don't announce it, because you'd be stopped.

Do realtors have to disclose houses of incest like crack houses? Or murder houses?
Just a little FYI this is the room the retarded man raped his elderly mom in?

Despite the site is an absolute cesspit, a member of the OnionFarms has revealed that Chris has apparently requested for a wellness check on Barb.

Best to take this as speculation of course, as the OnionFarms isn't exactly a source for reliable information on Chris.
