Sad to hear former West Ham, QPR and Czech Republic goalkeeper Luděk Mikloško died from cancer on 16th.

He was a good keeper, and sad to see his passing barely mentioned.

RIP Luděk

Well Brentford just slapped Chelsea 3-0

I'll throw Union Berlin coach's hat in the ring.

Mönchengladbach already sacked their coach. Hamburg on the other side renewed the contract with their coach this week.

On a side note, Harry Kane broke another record. He scored his 100th Bundesliga goal against Union Berlin and only needed 98 matches for it. That's 31 less matches than former record holder Gerd Müller needed. That's basically a whole season.

Thank you Lammens for saving my bum ass team and to think there are some <90 iq niggers in our fanbase wanting him to be dropped for Darlow lmao

Can't knock the man for being brutally honest about it. Hate when footballers dance around the obvious.

City are too marquee a name for the Prem for them to stick the knife in the jugular. "Hefty" fine (pocket change for City), "substantial" points deduction (only enough to still allow them to climb the table to maybe sneak into an EL spot), and probably 1 or 2 (maybe even 3 or 4 if they really wanna make it look good, but not before City hoard a bunch of players first) transfer window bans is my guess.

If people were underwhelmed by the slow moving process to arrive at them being guilty, I'm guessing the "punishment" will also take the winds out of everyone's sails who are hoping to see City in League Two.

I wouldn't be surprised if the league goes soft on them

Where it gets really messy is when other clubs go in looking for compensation for all the trophies/prize money/Champions League money/even things like their influence on relegations/etc

Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal all sent City notice of 'right to sue' years ago over these charges so City couldn't rely on statute of limitations to avoid them. So at a minimum you would think those 4 will be going after them. I don't know where this leaves clubs that didn't do this but the word is that everyone is looking at their legal options rn

The EPL has already set a standard for this with Forest and Everton on a lesser amount of charges so I think they will need to give them a point reduction to have them in the bottom half or even the relegation zone. They can't retroactivly relegate them because that will open a whole can of worms with teams that finished 18th during the years investigated. I don't see the point of them stripping the trophies either. If they are to be relegated it would only go as far as the Championship. If the EFL try to demote them further that just opens a lawsuit as they haven't broken any EFL rules.

Brazililian football received two nukes in the same week:

The first one was basically a gradual limiting foreigner players in Brasileirão until 2030 to 5 players for each team. This would affect the national price of players since they can't pay for foreigners for cheaper anymore as they used to.

And the second was a GIGA nuke. The president want to ban all forms of Betting, not only sports but online casinos. This was like out of nowhere but every single club is mainly sponsored by whatever bet. Most of the clubs and the overall boom of free sports broadcasts was caused by this money. This is juicy for anyone and the tears of casino influencers are giga delicious.

Since my team is dogshit it wasn't sponsored by ANY sponsor so I am not as buttblasted as others.

This is literally insane move by the president

If you want to make money in South America without the gambling, you need to sell good players to Europe. Brazil was seen as the best league in South America and so many European teams would buy from Europe. Cutting off talent from other South American teams from going to Brazil before going abroad is a terrible idea. You could have a minimum amount of players on your team with a certain amount of years in Brazilian academies to get the youth development that the first nuke is trying to do. But the first nuke destroys any plans to counter act the financial impact of the second nuke
