Tottenham sacked Frank and Marseille sacked de Zerbi.

From the outside looking in, De Zerbi had the world in his hands at Brighton. Man was being linked to a bunch of top jobs. No disrespect to l'OM, big a club as they are, they must have sold De Zerbi a pipe dream because what the fuck did he expect to accomplish in PSliGue 1 lol. I can't imagine someone like him was happy to battle it out for 2nd place in the league and making to to a final, any final, for all eternity. As far as Frank goes, like Kruger said, he'd done well to make it this far lol.

Atleti keep getting a man in behind down the right flank with Alvarez and Lookman in the center and left waiting for a simple cross lol
This was pretty ingenious from Simeone. The counter attack outlet was the right winger pinned on the touchline and would draw the LB to him while a forward/midfielder would make a run in behind them. The CB would stay in the middle allowing them to run free and then that Atletico forward would have time and space to pick out a cross. Barca had zero answers for it

Bayern won today 3-0 over an unremarkable Werder Bremen. 2/3rds of those can from Harry Kane, who scored his 100th career penalty today for club and country, and his 400th goal from open play for club and country. 500 career goals, and he's on pace to challenge Lewandowski's 41 goal in a season record in Germany (26 league goals in 22 games), and probably will break the penalty record in a season (10 held by Paul Breitner in 80-81; Kane's on 9 after today).

Bayern are scoring a lot as well, averaging 3.73 goals a game and on track for 126 goals in the league- which would smash the 55 year old record of 101. While Bayern were running away with the league, thankfully they stumbled a bit and Dortmund woke up, who trail Bayern by 6 points on the table, setting up an interesting Der Klassiker in a couple of weeks.

After today's game, Harry was photo'd with this lovely Valentine's Day card:

The most important news from this Bundesliga matchday is that Frankfurt did not catch three goals. I repeat. We did not catch three goals! In fact, we scored three, received none and won. We are so back!!!

'til next week when we face FC Bayern. Fuck.
If it's any consolation, Manuel Neuer (for tourists, he's Bayern's starting goalie) is out for 3+ weeks with some sort of calf injury.

Not that anybody cares, nor should you, but Real Madrid are officially above Barcelona with the fate of the league in their hands. Hansi Flick is a stubborn retard lol. They give up chances and let in goals like some mid table side because Flick is willing to lay his life down for a high line. Boy are their games entertaining to watch though.

No one cares Portuguese League highlight:

League leaders Porto pulled the “Moroccan trick” vs 2nd‑place Sporting CP led 1‑0 scoring on the 75 min, at home, stole the goalkeepers towels, had the ball boys hide all the balls from around the field on the 80ish minute, before the game Sporting complains the AC on the way dressing room was cranked up to max “felt like a sauna”, had their fans firework tf out of the Sporting CP players hotel at 1 AM and 4 AM… but still conceded a 96’ penalty and Sporting snatched a draw, guess acting like a sandnigger is never worth it, now you look like a non-white and you didn’t win the game.

And then wonder how Portuguese league can never break into Top 5

Barcelona offside is one of the funniest shit to see this year in la liga. Yamal dropping stinkers as well

Absolute belter of a game in the English Championship last night. Top of the table clash, Middlesbrough bang in form with a great run of wins behind them after a new manager appointment. Frank Lampard’s Coventry City chucked away a ten point lead to end up behind Boro, failing to beat relegation favourites Oxford in their last match and going through a very sticky patch of shit performances since Christmas. Cov’s star American striker, Wright, had been struggling for goals and missed way, way more than he stuck in the net, leading to fan frustration. There’s also the hoodoo that Boro (lately, anyway) never beat Cov, even though they were seemingly in the best position to do so.

The view before kick off was that Boro would win, and a feisty game would be had.

Coventry won 3-1, with a Wright hattrick. Fantastic game, Coventry came out all guns blazing and pressed Boro hard throughout the first half, Boro’s defence looking a little shaky. Boro were great going forward and just couldn’t find the finish. Second half, Boro had almost all of the possession and Coventry sat back more. Early Boro press led to a goal kick for Cov, which went straight to Wright for his second goal. Long goalie kicks, remember those?

Boro arguably should’ve scored at least one more, but for the neutral this was a brilliant match. Lots of end to end stuff, some great skills on show, plenty of no holds barred tackling. A great advertisement for the Championship.

Coventry are back on top of the division, Boro two points behind. Third? Millwall. Pray to the footballing gods for the ‘Wall to go up and the Hammers to stay up, because that would be fucking hilarious.

I'm trying to give Yamal some grace and if you ask me my top 3 favorite players in football 1 year ago he makes the list, but something about him this season has him teetering on unlikable for me. Idk what it is. I think it might be that the last couple of seasons he really did come off as this wide-eyed, energetic, generational prodigy, but his body language this season says "I made it" and he just looks like he's come off the boil a bit. His little birthday party stunt and affinity for gaudy jewelry doesn't help either.

He’s in industry planted football club PSG or another oil money team in 2 seasons for sure. He wasn’t ready for all the fame, glory and neither was his family. It’s a shitshow and I don’t think can be helped

I could see that in the future. Only problem for now is they have a young-ish Dembele and they seemingly learned their lesson when it comes to splashing petrol dollars on one player. We'll see though.

He can't handle being the #1 option yet and all the players around him are having a really bad season, Koundé hasn't had a good match all season, Lewa is ready for retirement, Raphinha is solid but nowhere close to last season and Ferran is Ferran. Flick is very obviously afraid to rock the boat too, Fermín has been shit without Pedri while Bernal has looked good but he doesn't play him for some reason, Lamine had a really bad day yesterday but Flick kept him on and played Roony on the left instead of benching him. Same vibes as Xavi's last season.

It's totally Javier Tebas and LaLiga's fault that you play a high line in your opponents half and some 33 year old player worth €260k plays a simple through ball that sends the Blaugrana into a panic.

In a the time span of 1 week the two corrupt asf clubs in Portugal made the world see the shit that happens there with the Real Madrid match including racism fans trying to stop the bus and the club president getting into a fight on the access tunnels

What a time to be alive folks

So what do you guys think of the idea of walkouts, mandatory or not, after alleged racist abuse cases?
