I read it was monkey which makes more sense but I wouldn’t put it past non-Spanish speaking journoscum to outright lie to make the situation seem worse than it is.

United just need one more point to secure it with two games left. Liverpool's only chance is United losing the next two and them winning to go through on goal difference. Hopefully a draw against Chelsea at least is do-able. As a United fan I'm more worried about facing Fulham honestly given how they've landed this season.

He was the only victim there and somehow was also the only one punished. This was the easiest thing they could do to try and save face.
 
The Coppa Italia final tonight and also Manchester City v Brighton. Predictions?

I have Inter taking it in the last 10 minutes, and same thing for Brighton against City.
 
So with Brighton getting a point out of City (granted where results matter more for the former at this point), they definitely clinch a spot in the Europa League. Which means the Conference League spot will be contested between Aston Villa, Spurs and Brentford. Brentford needs to win and have the two ahead of them not win. I definitely want that to happen.
 
Am I the only austist who thinks that EFL promotion playoffs are the best football on the planet earth? Luton vs. Coventry is going to be legendary, I almost wish they could both be promoted.
 
Serie A is dealing with some controversy regarding the way they've handled the Juve situation. First it's a 15 point penalty, then it's removed pending appeal. Then they announce a 10 point penalty an hour before Juve's match. Even Jose Mourinho is calling it out for the joke that it is.

The funniest thing is that even with the 10 point penalty, Juve would have been in control of their own destiny if they didn't bottle their game against Empoli, who are 14th in the league. Now there is pretty much no chance at top 4, lol.

Juve are so bad this year but somehow they're the second best team in Serie A on results alone. It's so baffling to me that 3 Italian clubs were able to shithouse their way to a European final. Luck has a lot to do with it imo, especially in the Champions League. Inter did well to get out of their group but they were incredibly lucky to get past Porto in the round of 16. I know anything can happen in a final but if City are able to score early, this game will get out of hand.
 
There's something magical about seeing three Italian teams in European finals and not one of them is Juventus considering the past decade of dominance by them.

If Serie A wasn't incompetent, they could have gained some serious market share with how amazing the seasons have been over the past few years. Honestly think they are the second best league in terms of excitement and competition between all clubs.

La Liga have a massive problem with their competition and ability to draw eyeballs to their product. They are beholden to talent ever since they relied on Messi vs Ronaldo to carry the brand. They see Vinicius as a future talent and will appease him to avoid having to make a competitive league

None of the teams in the EFL playoff finals won their first leg. Only in England could the lower leagues be this entertaining

Juve has always been kind of shit in European competitions though, their last trophy was almost 30 years ago.

It definitely has become the most open competition in recent years and Napoli were great to watch for most of the season. There are some mid table clubs that also play a more open and entertaining style but imo it's hard to watch Juve, Roma or Inter. They refuse to give up on 1950s catenaccio, which is why the most talented young Italian manager went to coach Brighton instead of a top Serie A club. You hate to see it.

I hope they replace Allegri with someone more attack minded and plays the youngsters. I hate that Roma and Inter still play the old way but I think if the money was there then both problems with those clubs might not be there. Inter are paying down massive debt so there wouldn't be money to invest in attacking players and they are left relying on old number 10s to play 8s. Roma are in just as bad financial shape and are reliant on Mourinho to play that defensive style in order to compete. I think these clubs might have played a more attacking style if they could afford the talent, which would come with better TV revenue. But they are stuck in this cycle

Apparently there's a serious chance for this to happen over the summer. Raffaele Palladino is a name to watch, he's done a great job at Monza this season and has similarities to Di Zerbi in that his team plays out from the back while inviting a high press from the opposition. They were one of the mid table teams that played more like Napoli than Juve or Roma. But Juve will probably do something stupid like keep Allegri or bring Conte back.

Mourinho won the Conference league and made the Europa league final with a 7 mil budget in the transfer market. Should bring him in and see what he can do with 4 mil
 
Dortmund is already losing their game. They had a great opportunity to draw with a penalty kick but just missed.

Unbelievable.

At the moment Bayern would be champions.


On a sidenote: this is first last matchday since 1 zillion years where in every single game something is on the line for one team.
