I feel really sad but not because we lost to croatia, but because we lost to ourselves. Physically and mentally, we couldnt make up the defense in croatia's goal and we lost in penalties to neymar's ego.

There isnt any rational explanation to put him last in the penalties, even more when we already lost the first. There isnt a fixed list or anything, neymar wanted to hog the glory of the last one. We were better than them, and we still lost. What makes me sadder is the future: what will we do without casemiro and Thiago Silva? We already knew that Tite was going to live? The future scares me, I had no hopes for winning, this game made me realize there wouldnt have a chance against france, we were really subpar and still better than croatia.

And the worst part is that I knew that we were going to lose if we went into penalties. That is the worst part. We had the chance to escape this fate and we blew it up.

I just fucking hate vinicius jr, the last game was an anomaly. Now lets rebuild it, and work towards the qualifiers again.

Pretty much as you say, he wanted the glory of knocking in the penalty that seals the deal so it would be all about him. Why you stick the inexperienced young guy on first I have no idea.

Our defensive player were exhausted and couldnt return. And the ball got touched by Marquinhos, but still it was something that I feared all the time: a crossed ball, I had fear all the cup because of this. And it happened.

As for the penalty, this is what triggers me the most: why couldnt neymar be the first or even the next after rodrygo lost? We saw shit like this some years ago when Gabigol wanted to do the last one and they got btfo before reaching it. The penaltis have the same value, the first, second, and so on. This is what infuriates me, hey changed the rules and this shouldnt happen anymore, we can go on feeling basis.

As for now, I will be rooting for Portugal in this WC. I wish a bomb would explode in france x england match. I really really wanted to watch more two games of brazil in this cup, sadly this will not happen

Argentina has won it twice, last time in 86. You can think Germany for taking two, when the German team was actually German.

The Dutch team is giving "France" a run for its money for most blackies, so Id like to see either Portugal, Argentina, or Croatia win it all.
 
As an Ameritard, I know fuck all about soccer so this is probably an obvious take. However, I watched this game because Croatia appears to be a team of actual Croatians and not a team cobbled together from other continents. So as a new observer with very little soccer knowledge, a couple of things jumped out at me. Correct me if I'm wrong.

First, Croatia seemed to me to know that they couldn't match Brazil for speed so they really dialed up the ball control and positioning, essentially relying on a game of keep away. They also looked like they couldn't get a decent shot on goal past Brazil's defenders and so 10 minutes in to the game it seemed obvious to me that they were aiming for a 0-0 game to be decided in penalties.

Second, they knew they had the better goalkeeper and that in penalties the disadvantage the team had in speed and defense, wouldn't matter. They knew their advantage was pretty much only in the penalty kick part of the game, so they played their game masterfully to get it to a stage where they could play to their strength and force it to that point.

How far off am I?

One thing is to win a Libertadores and a Club World Cup with tight tactics. A World Cup is a whole new can of worms, one that he never understood. Good fucking riddance, Tite.
