So, the coach of the Northern Ireland women's team (I know, I was equally shocked to find out that such a thing exists) tried to explain away a 5-0 loss to England as the result of women being too emotional and therefore falling to pieces whenever they concede a goal. Naturally, this has caused quite the shitstorm:

I get the feeling that he was trying to find a polite way of saying "It's not my fault we lost so badly, the players I've got to work with are shit", but made things ten times worse.

The refs have completely lost control of this City v. Atleti game. 12 minutes of stoppage time, what an absolute shitshow

As chaotic as it was I must say it's probably one of the most entertaining goalless draws I've seen in a long while.

Some of the refereeing decisions need to be brought into question though, started handing them out like candy for minor infractions but barely did anything when the brawl broke out.

Based Savic bullying the world's most expensive hipster bench player. Apparently it continued in the tunnel after the game, love to see it.

Anybody else get incredibly bored when trying to tune into Europa League? It's pretty much just the final I can muster up interest for, even less so if both teams have already secured a CL spot through league position.

Leicester City are going to win this Conference cup aren't they?

How can you be bored of Barcelona losing 2-0 at home?

I do take joy in that, admittedly.
And I am taking joy in West Ham winning 3-0 away from home. Do I support them? No, not in the slightest! But I take immense delight in personally knowing Arsenal fans having to deal with another London club having success in Europe; especially one with next to no budget in comparison. Be even funnier if Rangers make it to the finals too for that added layer of spite against those who bemoan British football.

I'm really hoping for a Rangers vs West Ham final myself. Win-win scenario. If West Ham win, we get a fresh English club in CL and another legitimate top 4 contender in the league now in the mix (if they recruit well and keep key players), if Rangers win, the famine merchants will have sleepless nights for years to come.

edit: GAME OVER AT THE NOU CAMP

Leicester City, West Ham / Rangers and Liverpool / Manchester City. Collectively if these British sides win the European cups, UEFA no doubt will be pissed off behind the scenes. Especially as that means the Super Cup will also be awarded to a British team. Oh what a time to be alive.

Bet the continental fannies are still sore about le Brexit too. Splendid.
