How long do you think until Ole gets the sack at this point? There are pretty persistent rumors that Conte is after the job too.

I'm torn between "won't get fired until Europe is impossible, because less shekels for the Glazers" and after he loses the next game. The fixtures coming up now are insanely hard, even if >we've had a decent manager and a team in form. Genuinely can't see United picking up many points before December, and not many more for the remainder of the year.

Would Conte turn it around? Maybe. Couldn't be worse.

One comment I keep seeing being made ad nauseum is how much quality Utd have and how Ole is holding them back. But do they, really? Have a think about it.

How many of these players are getting into a Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester, West Ham Starting XI? 1 or 2, maybe 3? If Ole is holding them back it's from a Europa League qualifier.
The main problem Utd have is imbalance. Their holding midfield is abysmal, with two B2B's larping as one. Then there's no link between them and the attack as none of the forwards track back so they're carved apart so easily. A decent manager would be swinging the yellow pages at them until they played as a unit but I feel like Ole is the kind of manager who gets ignored by everyone

I've only started playing closer attention to United recently (once Ronaldo arrived) but this seems to be the main problem. They think they're playing with a 4-2-3-1 but they're basically playing with a 4-2-4. The wingers don't really track back and it leaves the below average midfield exposed.

Conte would fix this right away, since he plays with a back 5 and three midfielders. But the fact that Ole still has a job today makes me wonder what it will take for him to get sacked.

And the trend of hiring club icons/legends continues.

This'll surely (not) work out (again).

Ole trying to save himself by using Conte tactics, lol. It worked vs Spurs but I think they'll need a bit more pace up front against City next weekend. Maybe Greenwood in for Cavani.

City lost today vs Crystal Palace, I didn't watch though so no idea if it indicates anything.

As far as we go however, did you see that awful match today vs Verona? Pretty depressing stuff fam

Yeah, disaster for Juve today. I want to keep giving the benefit of the doubt as we've been dealing with injuries to key players but Allegri's tactics make no sense for this squad. We need to get back to playing 3 midfielders, Rabiot is so good as a mezzala but Allegri keeps playing him as a fucking winger. Pretty frustrating to watch.

As far as Man City, didn't see all of it but they conceded early and Laporte got a straight red just before halftime so they were playing with 10 men for the entire second half. I'd expect Pep to be extra motivated to get his team back on track.

Spurs at this point should actively attempt to win the European Conference, purely for an instant Europa spot and silverware for the club. Because if that League cup draw is anything to go by, Brentford and Sunderland look far more enthusiastic to win it
