At this point I just expect them to get dumped out of CL groups every year and drop down into EL and win it all.
 
In South American footy news, the Libertadores final will be all-Brazilian for the second time in a row. The last two champions Flamengo and Palmeiras are set to face off in Montevideo in late November.
And barring some oddity in the Athletico Paranaense match against Peñarol, the Brazilian side is set to face Red Bull Bragantino (another Brazilian side) in the finals, also to be played in Montevideo, one week before the Libertadores finals.

Keep in mind our footy isn't particularly exciting, and it is still the best South America has to offer.

You may resume your bitching about yuro footy now.

This is also pretty funny: a Bri'ish person having a cry because Sparta Prague do a bit of trolling of their own. And they've also won.

Apparently, Barcelona are on the lookout for a new coach. Ronald Koeman isn't delivering the goods.

Good to see they have regressed to the good ol' South American style of "if your team fails, fire the coach and hire another one" instead of seeing the bigger picture altogether.

Much like Pep, Rodgers just doesn't get European Cup football. They both constantly overthink things, despite often going against sides that utilise far more basic tactics. They treat the other European leagues like some alien oddity. In which attacking may alert them, so just play five at the back and have Sterling / Vardy go it alone at front.

Seems strange to me, Brenny usually waits until later in the season to have a meltdown and choke. Really wouldnt be surprised to see them not even get top 6 this season

Just look at his history in European football, it's written in the stars. He'll stagger past the group stages and get knocked out by some tactical nonsense that makes no sense, only to redeem himself with some average cup-run. Watching Liverpool during his reign was especially dire, constantly missing out on the Quarter finals. His defeat to Zenit St. Petersburg in 12/13 being the worst of the lot. Very same tournament that saw Newcastle, YES NEWCASTLE! Reach the Europa Quarter finals.

It is interesting to see how the UK media reacts to this. There's a small article on the BBC Sports front page about it but it's buried down below all the other articles lavishing praise on Good Ol' Ronnie. On Reddit however, r/soccer had to lock the thread posted about the banner due to the debate getting too spicy, while r/reddevils (Man Utd subreddit) seems to have banned all discussion of the rape case whatsoever. Ronnie the Rapist has one of the best propaganda teams in the world of sports media relations. They just astroturfed the shit out of any social media website to the point that its become a sort of dark web conspiracy.

Amazing, really, to watch in real time a rich man get away with admitting to raping a woman. Money might not buy you happiness, but it seems it can buy you a free pass to rape, admit to rape, have the admission made public, and nothing really being done about it.

When we start talking about payouts, NDA's, etc., all of that sympathy goes out the window. She wasn't forced to take the money or keep quiet, but that's exactly what she did. Only thing I feel sorry for her about is she didn't have the gumption to rinse him for at least 7 digits instead of 6.

Also Newcastle are set to become the richest club in the world if this Saudi takeover happens, and it's likely to happen within the next few hours.
