Congratulations to Eintracht Frankfurt for winning the Europa League. They already won me by beating Farsalona and doing a white-out invasion in the Camp Nou. Beating those turncoats in such fashion was the best outcome for a brilliant season.

I love it. Awarding an automatic Champions League place for winning the Europa League was a great decision by the UEFA higher ups.

That's nothing! Down here in South America we often see teams qualifying for the Libertadores in the same season they get relegated... Or playing second or even third division.

There was that one year where Wigan won the FA Cup but were relegated from the Premier League. So they were playing Europa League matches while in the Championship.

Libertadores is a great competition because you have just random teams playing but when you have to travel thousands of miles for a midweek game in a completely different climate, there is always a chance for an upset

Yesterday I had the best beer in my whole life since becoming a Frankfurt supporter and now we will face Real Madrid or Liverpool for another title. This feels so unreal.
Whoever it will be they are going to slaughter us. There is now way we will beat Real Benzema or Liverpool but fuck it just getting this game is so good.

Another fun fact about current Hertha BSC: The new Director of Sport is Fredi Bobic. It's his first season and he came from Eintrach Frankfurt. He switched to Hertha because he felt there is nothing anymore that he could achieve with Frankfurt anymore. He wanted " a new challenge".

Port Vale to the League 2 Play-Off Finals!
Do I have any attachment to them? No. However I've visited them before and let me tell you, Burslem is hands down the most miserable looking town I've visited as a football fan. Which says a lot as I've willingly gone to Norwich, Luton and Birmingham in the past. I passed not one but three buildings that had recently been set ablaze and a pole dancing club built atop a gym. Windows for both floors gated, naturally. If it wasn't covered in rust and jagged like the locals teeth, it was some brutalist monstrosity that hid the nearby council housing. Yet the stadium had such a fantastic atmosphere, it comfortably trumped most Premiership and Championship outings I've had. I commend you fans of Port Vale, you are devout to your local side that plays a top a huge fucking hill in the middle of nowhere.
