Because Gianni Infantino is much more brazen in his attempts to line his pockets. And he doesn’t seem to really care about the sport as much as he cares about boosting his reputation and the bottom line. And he has Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia to enable him.

Say what you will about Infantino, but I'm not going to elevate Blatter above him in the corruption coefficient because he says all the right things while being the corrupt piece of shit in the shadows that he was. If anything, it's points in Infantino's favor that the motherfucker is willing to stab you in the front while he looks you in the eye. Two sides of the same coin. Let's not act as if we need another Sepp Blatter to replace Infantino or that he was any better. The man never met a nickel in a back alley that he didn't like.

Money is the only thing FIFA and Infantino/Blatter ever cared about. If FIFA as an organization or their members aren't going to put their foot down and change how they operate or who runs it then it just is what it is. World Cups will continue to make bank and so will the federations, fans be damned. Money talks.

They destroyed their EA Sports contract.
 
You know what the funny thing is? If Infantino had just waited 18 months he'd have gotten away with it. To brazenly do something like this RIGHT on the tail of the World Cup and some very shifty decisions is completely brainless and calls into question the entire World Cup and everything about it.

At one point the Belgian FA were basically implying they were on the verge of walking out of the World Cup over the rescinded red card. You had practically the whole of UEFA kicking off about it. All he had to do was let it simmer down and put time between the tournament and the decision because otherwise it looks blatantly obvious this deal was in the running before the World Cup and the whole World Cup was compromised.

So now there's a possibility of a 64 team World Cup not featuring Europe. It's also being HOSTED in fucking Europe so that's probably going to get changed unexpectedly. Hope y'all are ready for Guam vs Mozambique being played in the Ivory Coast.

I can't think CONMEBOL following them, maybe Brazil if UEFA host a tournament in 2030.CONCACAF depends USA will follow Trump or not.
AFC and CAF will follow them if UEFA doesn't chicken out.

Foreign player cap or needing several subscription’s to follow your team should have been the limit. Club and national interests have long been thrown to the side.
