Some interesting transfer updates.

@Shining Wit brought up Ings so don't need to cover that.

Barcelona recently signed Lucas Roman from second division club Ferro Oeste and Gianluca Prestianni from Velez. Apparently they have a bigger pull in Argentina than Brazil since losing out to Real Madrid on that front

Yann Sommer from Monchengladbach to Bayern has been confirmed. Gladbach spent the money immediately on Jonas Omlin from Montpellier. So it looked like this deal was almost entirely set but waiting on Gladbach to have a replacement set up.

Leandro Trossard got his desired move, going for 27 million pounds from Brighton to Arsenal. Going from missing out on Mudryk as another winger to Trossard. I think this is just a squad player who can be useful at most positions up front. Considering they lost Jesus, there isn't much back up if a few other attackers go down. His contract also expires in 2026 so he won't be deadweight for too long if it doesn't workout

Its good cover for Martinelli at least but they really need to sort a true striker, only will take Nketiah to be injured for them to have a real problem

I think Martinelli and Trossard can potentially back up the center forward position if needed. Its probably the perfect january signing. Trossard is good enough to fit into the squad but not good enough to really threaten any starters spot. Will definitely help the squad depth

Enjoy the season ending push to potentially make the Conference league

The chad move would be go all out to win Europa league, there's enough talent in the squad to do it. It's the only way they'll be able to keep any of their top players. Too bad the manager is hellbent on playing everyone out of position to accommodate his outdated formation.

Before this news came out, there was talk of Zidane wanting to be the new manager. Doubt that's the case anymore, lol

Chiesa has shown a lot of promise as a center back though. Think of the tactical freedom if Allegri plays him at center back

Zidane is only going to manage France next. Not a chance he goes elsewhere

Mudryk looked like the only exciting thing from Chelsea today. Liverpool probably should have won but I am happy that both teams only get a point so they continue to struggle.

In other news, Dani Alves appears to have sexually assaulted someone in Spain and is being held without bail. Pumas has already terminated his contract

Everton and Southampton bros. I am not feeling so well
Southampton hiring Brentford's ex-Director of Football and than expecting him to pull the same magic without the same scouting network is amusing. It's for the best they finally go down and shed the mass of bloated and aged squad members like Walcott. I'd happy with them and Bournemouth gone. Everton is a tricky one. I hate the owners, the team isn't deadwood at this point; it's gangrene... But the meme appeal of them is too appeasing to keep around now. I'd rather Wolves take the dip instead so they panic about with FFP rules

The new manager of Wolves, Lopategui, is probably going to do enough to keep Wolves up. Leeds cannot defend to save their life, Bournemouth have new owners but probably won't go as crazy as Chelsea's owner, Everton are screwed due to like a decade of mismanagement, Southampton should have been relegated years ago but Hasenhuttl was selling the soul's of future family members to stay up, West Ham have no idea what their identity is, Leicester are paying for their years at the top right now, and Nottingham Forest are a collection of mercenaries trying to keep themselves up. Its truly a fun relegation battle but I need Southampton and Everton to keep up the pace. Its more fun when all 3 spots are up for grabs instead of just 1

Another Haaland hatrick. Surely he’s close to the record of those in a season? As much as I don’t want City to win the title again, I’m kinda rooting for Haaland to break as many goal scoring records as possible.

Alan Shearer has the record with 5 in a season. Although Haaland is currently tied with the golden boot winner from last year with goals.

This would be a really funny result. Having him destroy the 34 goals in a season record while City don't win the league is probably the best outcome

In other news, United title race bullshit should be done after today

Caught some of the Arse-Man U match. How the hell are the gunners on the top of the table? They looked like utter crap for most of that match. Pressing, but completely clueless in the box. Full marks to Nketiah for the winner tho - that was a brilliant redirect.

It’s so weird to not see Fulham in a relegation scrap where they belong. I guess there’s always next year for that.

As for the Championship, Burnley and Sheffield United look to be in the drivers seat for automatic promotion. The playoff places are still wild and crazy and completely up for grabs.
