It's weird. Most furs are pretty excited to hear of other furs that have gotten into successful businesses and become a pillar to look at as a role model - Someone who can balance their childlike interests into a normal adult life with a good job and a family. Someone who has actively worked to get to that precise point.
A lot of those people aren't very open about being furry in real life, though, since they see it as a risk to losing their jobs if shit goes south. But there's definitely some very successful folk - I've seen surgeons and even Professors with cited articles who are furry. At least those people are actually working to do good in society, rather than be born into some sort of family inhertance. They deserve to splurge on a fun purchase now and then since jobs like that tend to be stupid fucking stressful.
