Just an observation on him and this whole thing- I don't know if he realizes this but he really did kind of fuck up his future.
From now on, he's going to have people eyeing his every action online like hawks. He'll have to stay squeaky clean or else they'll try to pin him down with something and it will happen and will keep happening from now on. He can shoot shit now and come out on top but can he keep it up like Jim or will he spaz out eventually and let the exceptional people trying to catch him rip him apart?

Honestly, either way is interesting and I'm just here to watch the show. Keep it up SonicFox- can't wait to see what you do next.

Judging from his Twitter timeline he seems like just your average polititard. He doesn't like the criticisms, but he also probably doesn't actually wanna genocide Republicans with the "Thanos glove" as he puts it. He seems willing to judge people individually and people sperging out are giving him what he wants. He's a furry autist on the defensive like so many before him, you only make yourself look worse climbing into his pit of gore and shit. That said he lets Ninja say nigger.

Either way, I still wanna see him lose sponsors because salt. That and I'd like to see some form of finery for shenagigans like the NFL does in video game leagues. If they already do then I'm sorry, I'm still out of touch.

Although I've been reading he isn't liked much behind the curtains of FGC. Few people seem to tolerate him. Is that true?

He was fucked in that regard as soon as he walked on stage at the Game Awards with his fursuit. There is no way he wasn't going to be public enemy #1 for assorted groups online after that stunt.

The rest is just a bonus.

He wore the damn thing all the time to events and interviews. I recall a viral picture of him in a shot for some publication where they, or rather he used his fursona instead of his own self. He doesn't give half a shit what people think about him wearing a fursuit or being a furry. Most furries who wear them have zero or close to zero shame anyways. You have to to wear the damn things.
And of note, he's been public enemy for a long time as a visible furry and all, but what he did during that show put all the absolute hatred of furries square onto his shoulders for that.

Gaming and doing other things in his suit was always his shtick on top of being an esports player, it's just another way for him to attract extra attention, come to think of it, even if he wasn't as good as esport as he is right now, there's no doubt he'll still end up in the spot light solely because of his unusual choice of attire, unless this guy makes a huge fool of himself or do something noteworthy, he's going to be able to say whatever he wants to and his furfag fanbase will defend him to their death.

"Was". The few times I watched the clown play in a grand finale, he wore a disgusting unwashed fox hat with those long attached handwarmers, as well as a dog tail. The commentators, probably some of the big ones due to the tournament warranting Sonic to participate, said a thing of his at the time was to hug his opponent no matter the outcome (see: Spitefully hug someone you just shat on. What a professional athlete).

This isn't even that far back, which makes me wonder how deep yall actually are in this. I certainly am not, but even I recall him being a disgusting teen with an unshaven pedostache creeping around on tournament stages for ages. His fursuit is relatively new in his embarrassing behavior. Just being critical.
It wouldn't be surprising if one would find a way to cop out. Regardless, this can make SonicFox look like a douchebag but it'll also reap some salt from people that took his "fuck you Republicans" too seriously.
Too serious? I know we're all desensitized here, but really. This was a single-purpose event to promote and celebrate gaming. Ninja picked the professional highroad and while being a whiny baby on his own stream, he goes "this is to how far gaming has gotten and we're only getting started". Selfless and frankly unenthusiastic. Now look at what Sonic had. He stepped on CSGO and OW fan-favorites by being good in an incredibly niche game genre. He could do so much to emphasize the road to global recognition for the FGC, furries, minorities, people who don't just sort Twitch by "most viewed game".

Nope. "Lmao wus good cuzz aw shit lookit this, fuck yall haters, yall hate niggas and gay ass faggots like me, cus we suckin' that meat, fuck yall liberals". How can you not take that 'serious'? Half the people investing money in the video game industry can't even operate Candy Crush on their phone. How and why would they be into the nu-speak of 16-year old internet politicians?

This whole ordeal speaks to the "accept me but don't" mentality of any internet community and probably why we see more unpassing trannies than not. It's in their nature to crave provocation. If troons and furries were accepted they wouldn't be special. He stuck it to those old white male CEOs, dawg, by playing into what his high-interest zero-investment fans wanted, instead of the time and money people put into promoting a community for global legitimacy.

I think Sonicfox's response to the tweet is pure damage control but at least he apologized I guess. His fans are some delusional motherfuckers though.

So it's true then that few people like him in the FGC? I mean the actual people participating in it, not the audience. The audience will cheer for anyone.

Pewdiepie got dropped by Disney thus losing him thousands or more likely millions of dollars for this stunt. He's also been branded alt-right by caved-in-head mainstream media outlets.

Sonicfox got quote Tweeted by Ian Miles Cheong.

Yeah I'd agree there's quite a huge difference in outcomes.

Doesn't he play Mortal Kombat?
He’s most famous for playing Netherrealms games, Dead or Alive, and Skullgirls. The thing to note with these games is that they are for various reasons not as big in the FGC as the traditional Big 3 of Street Fighter, Tekken, and Marvel vs Capcom. NRS games have the distinction of pulling in a massive number of normies and non-FGC people for the first few months due to Mortal Kombat’s longstanding market-presence and the really cool liscenses they get for guest characters and Injustice. The massive amount of money they bring with each release, combined with the fact their are pretty much solely popular in the US, leads to prize winning being bigger ans more concentrated; which is where people get data on him being the most successfull fighting game player in terms of earnings. The thing is that their games tend to be janky, loose, and overtly simple means that the games tend to die out quickly and lose players; which leads to less prestige when people win major tournaments. Skullgirls has allways been niche and autistic. Dead or Alive as anything beside fanservice was a dead franchise by the time he got famous in it.

For all the shit people give the newest Street Fighter game, it’s still for the most part predicated on methodical play and discourages the scrambles that he’s known to excell in. That, and Tokido, who was also up for the award that he got, tore him a new hole around the time SFV first came out; and Sonicfox is somewhat infamous for dropping games if he gets hosed early on.

Tekken is infamously unforgiving to people that don’t take the time to learn how it works, and probably rewards legacy skill the most out of all the games played competatively. If he actually played the game he’d probably be scared shitless of longstanding, legendary pros like Qudans, Knee, or Jimmy J Tran; which is probably a big thing considering SF seems to have a bit of an ego sometimes and drops games. It’s also off topic, but Tekken is the only game that’s currently seeing year over year growth in the FGC right now.

Marvel vs Capcom and DBFZ are dirty, insane games where most characters are going to die if they get touched twice. Sonicfox tends to do well in games that usually get chaotic, and DBFZ does. I tend to not play DBFZ just because I tend to get annoyed with it, but I have some theories about SF and this game that I’m gonna sperg about for a bit. So far as I know, Sonic only really started wearing the fursuit to events after he started playing DBFZ, and I’m willing to bet that having to deal with a degenerate in a fursuit was profoundly distracting to people that haven’t had to deal with him before. It’s also worth noting that a lot of people look sideways at him after the sideswitch thing he pulled at EVO 2018 due to that rule almost never being invoked and GO1 not speaking English well and thus not knowing what was going on.

So it's true then that few people like him in the FGC? I mean the actual people participating in it, not the audience. The audience will cheer for anyone.

In the FGC, the general perception is that he's kind of a joker. People think the fursuit is goofy, and that being represented by a furry is probably a mistake. They also want him to lose, because he's the villain in the "fighting games narrative" right now.

However, I don't think too many people actually give that much of a shit about SonicFox and whatever it is he's doing. Mainstay FGC is more worried about the influx of Smashers entering the community than anything else, probably.

The smashers generally keep to themselves more often than not

, to the point that the Smash community and the general FGC hold seperate meetups if the town is big enough. That’s my experience at least.

People getting completely assblasted about absolutely trivial bullshit is stupid, and the response to some furfag saying some dumb shit is no different.

He was in contact with Kero before the leaks. I wouldn't be surprised if SonicFox was in to animal porn.

Haha, oh my god, I forgot about this bitch.
This is such a late response but I've been browsing this thread for shits and giggles, and this chick thinks she lives in a sitcom or something. Wastes her time trolling furry servers and saying cringeworthy garbage like this about a 500-member server:

Do you think you're famous or something? Or that you can't just... be banned? I don't understand people who think they can "take down" huge communities single-handed. Saffi, you don't live in a Michael Bay movie.

Also, she's been called out before for being a pedophile. :3c

Also, she's a furry herself.

If you're going to call me a pedophile, you need to show evidence y'know. Otherwise this is just tumblr-tier drama because I said/did something you didn't like. And judging by the date, this was probably before I was banned from weirdfur.

So you don't deny being a furry?
