In today's episode of "Furries shooting themselves in the foot over shitty political takes," we have Randall Colin Hill, better known as Drayne the Wolf (the chairman of Furrydelphia), taking the "everyone I disagree with is a Nazi" approach.

Like many recent dramas, it seems to have started with a shitty take on current events and the recent Charlie Kirk assassination. I'm not entirely sure what he posted (because Drayne is an extreme DFE risk, furries are terrible at archiving their own shit, and it wasn't properly screenshotted or saved in time), but some furries took offense to it. This is the only part that didn’t get deleted:
1757709544957.webp 1757709419614.webp

Drayne’s response: "arcticfoxhiro is a Nazi." Again, I can’t find the original post, so this is the best screen I have. 1757709643491.webp
1757709503634.webp

At this point, dozens of people called Drayne a dipshit for his stupid take and for putting Hiro on blast. There are far too many replies to include all of them, but here are a few highlights.
1757709716122.webp 1757709796774.webp 1757709892127.webp 1757710039410.webp 1757710076801.webp 1757709951909.webp 1757710007642.webp

At one point, the conversation shifts when someone brings up that Drayne confessed to having accounts on adult websites as a minor, sending nudes when he was (at most) 16 years old, and at one point writing incest-themed gay furry fanfiction. (This came up a few months ago in this same thread when another Kiwi dug into Drayne’s personal accounts.) Drayne’s response was to confirm the information was correct, that they were his accounts, and that if you bring up that he wrote incestual gay fanfiction, you’re a racist and a Nazi.

This is what the guy screaming about Nazis and defending teen incest fanfiction looks like, by the way:

Drayne wraps it up by admitting he deleted everything after sperging over politics and getting called out for being a moron. But don’t worry, it’s all fine, because he took a photo of himself holding a Trans Rights sign and says he loves everyone.

I don’t know about you, but I’m loving this new trend where some terrible event happens and people can’t shut up about it. It gives people like this just enough rope to figuratively hang themselves in front of their entire social media audience.

Stop normalizing the fucking freak ass furfag fursuiters. They are all degenerates who fuck dogs jack off to cartoons dogs and cats and groom children and live a fantasy.. they don’t need any explaining. They are awful people. Oh and you can’t fall for their charities.. it’s all a scam for their zoophile interests
Someone's a newfag here it looks like

They're getting their ass beat in the Quote RTs and replies:
I'm really impressed seeing normally-pretty-liberal-leaning people getting (correctly) outraged at the Kirk gravedancing nonsense. Feels like a corner's been turned in the cultural zeitgeist about such things. Almost like the natural human feature of "revulsion" is re-awakening in people finally. Now if they'd just start feeling revulsion about the diaperfags too :story:

Unfortunately I've seen one dancer not so much dancing but telling people his dancing got him a Bluesky suspension(!) and getting little but asspats on FA.

Meh. Baby steps. Anything Bluesky-adjacent is compromised beyond repair anyway. Seeing any pushback at all among this crowd is a major development IMHO.

So basically same as what happened to Gretchen Felker-Martin then.

That and similar styles started showing up after that "night in the woods" game a few years ago. Never played it, but all it's biggest fans are the sort of people you described.

It never fails, you see that style, it's a person of gender with mental illnesses who can't make eye contact but they totally punch Nazis.

nah, it's not just the way you might describe just about every 2nd or 3rd furry, it's more specific than that, they're specifically people who glamorize the inner city hood trash lifestyle, like grunge but somehow less cool, the type that would listen to Lorde sing about how she's a poor troubled youth from the bad part of town and would hang out in abandoned parking lot and broken down public bathrooms
the "trash animal" thing is big with them, they relate to rats and racoons and possums, they wanna be epic free souls who make due with the filth and grime of the world, hang out in badly lit alleyways with all the punks that society has abandoned listening to their various hundreds of geks and smoking all the kewl droogs the youths be smackin, writing on walls about how they're THE PEOPLE and they're gonna RISE UP GAMERS... at least, that's what they wish they could do, if the majority of them didn't have a mental breakdown when their phone battery dies

Or if someone misgendered them in the bad part of town in the dark alleyway they just fall apart lol.

Megaplex seems to have brought up drama about swimming in fursuits again when one suiter jumped in, potentially fucking up the suit and (more importantly) the pool filter.
Unfortunately they didn't waterboard themselves in the process.
Your browser is not able to display this video.

At least it's clean watersports involving chlorinated pool water and not bodily fluids.

Wouldn't that also fuck up the fursuit? Like the chlorine in the water?
Water in itself could damage a fursuit if it's constructed using water-soluble glues and paints or has parts made from natural fibers, cardboard, leather, wood or buckram.
The chlorine concentration is only sufficient to eradicate harmful bacteria and too weak to cause any real damage unless they repeatedly wear their fursuit in the pool.

It's wavering on it but I'd actually say that that image doesn't fall under it. It's too well drawn.
It actually kinda reminds me of Emily Youcis who is very much NOT into that.

See shit like Deadlandia and Brandon Wurtz for primo examples.

WPAFW is notorious for over-serving from their bar, and their leadership is very "we did nothing wrong!" I've heard that they had an attendee that they over-served, and then denied a ride back to his hotel (parking is so limited at the venue that they have shuttles). The attendee was forced to take his bike to get back to the hotel, utterly wasted, and he wrecked on one of the park roads. He was severely injured in the accident, and the event's response was to ban him from the event and every chat they had control of for daring to speak up about the situation. They do not own any of their misbehavior.
Who's ready for another Pinball effort post? I decided to do a little digging into the story that Sintharia mentioned here, wondering if there was any truth to it. Yesterday, I DM’d Sintharia and asked for more information, and was given the lead that the furry who was injured went by “Drunken Duncan” and that this incident happened at WPAFW 2023.
1757864957174.webp

I managed to find Duncan’s FA and came across journals he wrote about it, where he gives his side of what happened. I also have a handful of furry contacts I occasionally reach out to when I’m researching these sorts of things, and when I brought up this story with them, one of them put me in direct contact with someone who witnessed part of what happened and was willing to give their side.

Disclaimer: the furry I talked to was fully aware they were talking to Pinball and knew that parts of our discussion would later show up on the Farms. They asked to be referred to under a pseudonym, which I agreed to.

Now, to get started, there are three main people involved here, so let me give a quick rundown on each:
Drunken Duncan: The furry who was injured at WPAFW 2023. He had been a regular attendee since at least WPAFW 2012, and his FA suggests he was friends with Manick as far back as 2014, as Duncan has multiple FA journals that tag Manick, stating that they had roomed and traveled together at multiple conventions.
Manick: The current chairman of WPAFW. It is not entirely clear when he took over, but it seems to have been around 2014–2016.
“Bubsy”: The furry I spoke to via Telegram Messenger, who was willing to give their side of what happened on the condition of anonymity. Bubsy privately provided proof that they were friends with both Duncan and Manick, as well as proof that they had personally witnessed part of the accident.

It is also worth pointing out that WPAFW seems to run two sets of shuttles. There is one that runs from the main hotels to the lodge, and another that makes smaller trips between the lodge and a parking lot about a mile away. Parking at the lodge is very limited and usually reserved for staff or unloading, so most people park at the distant lot and take the shuttle.

With all that out of the way, let’s dig in. Both Duncan’s and Bubsy’s recollections of what happened leading up to the accident were almost identical. Where the stories really start to diverge is in what happened after the accident, because Duncan and Bubsy’s accounts differ widely. So let’s start with the actual accident.

Lead-up to the accident

In both versions, Duncan arrived at the lodge at some point on Friday. He did not take the shuttle to get there; instead, he rode up on a bike or scooter and then spent the afternoon and early evening hanging out at the lodge. Later that night, still drunk, he decided to take one of the shuttles back to the hotel, leaving his bike at the lodge overnight. When he tried to board, the driver asked him to put on a facemask. Duncan claimed he didn’t have one. The driver allegedly handed him a disposable mask, but Duncan refused to put it on, and the driver ultimately refused him entry.

Duncan then said to himself, “Fine, I guess I’ll just ride my bike back to the hotel.” Despite being visibly intoxicated, having no helmet or protective gear, riding a bike with no lights, and facing a dark, winding road through the park late at night, Duncan went ahead. He rode downhill too fast around a sharp turn, flew off the road, and smashed his face into a rock. A few minutes later, the parking lot shuttle passed by, noticed him, and a couple of people got out, called an ambulance, and stayed with him until it arrived. Ultimately, Duncan’s jaw was broken in four places, two teeth were knocked out, and his medical bills were about $10,000, even with insurance.

This is what both Duncan and Bubsy agree happened up to the accident. From there, things get less clear, as both have very different recollections of the aftermath.

Duncan’s Version

Duncan made two FA journals about the incident, one in May 2024 and another in June 2025. I’ll leave screenshots and links for each under spoilers.

In the first journal, he copies/pastes a vague “someone got hurt” PSA that he claims he posted in several TG groups before it was deleted for spam, before admitting in the comments that the injured attendee was himself. His second journal is much more aggressive and repeatedly calls everyone running WPAFW “evil nazi fascists.”

Duncan claims that Manick and the other staff ghosted him during and after the convention, did not check on him in the hospital, did not help with his medical bills, and months later sent him a letter. According to him, the letter basically said, “You should have just masked up or taken an Uber; it’s not our responsibility that you got on the bike.”

Duncan says he then complained about it in both WPAFW and local Pittsburgh chats, which got him banned for “bringing up drama.” Allegedly, anyone else bringing it up has gotten the same response. It is unclear from his account whether he was banned from WPAFW itself or just the chats.

Bubsy’s Version

Bubsy tells a very different story. He confirms that Duncan was denied shuttle access for not masking, but multiple people told Duncan to either suck it up and put the mask on, take an Uber, or ask a sober friend for a ride. Bubsy says he personally offered to drive Duncan, but Duncan, drunk, refused, saying something along the lines of “You’re gonna take too long to get your car, and I don’t wanna wait, I’ll just go myself.” Duncan allegedly got physically aggressive with Bubsy when he tried to stop him, pushing past and getting on the bike anyway.

By pure luck, Manick was on the passing parking lot shuttle that found Duncan on the side of the road. Bubsy says Manick got out, called the ambulance, and stayed with him until it arrived. Manick apparently also checked in with the hospital at least three times, though he stopped once he knew Duncan was stable, since he was still in the middle of running WPAFW.

After the convention, Manick offered to refund about two-thirds of Duncan’s badge, reasoning that he had already attended for a full day and consumed plenty of food and drinks to justify that. Duncan demanded a full refund, which Manick refused, and also demanded a new bike and full payment of medical bills. Manick said no to this as well. His stance was that Duncan had been offered multiple alternatives and refused them, then chose to bike drunk. At that point, it was not Manick’s responsibility.

Bubsy also confirmed that Duncan spammed the same rant about WPAFW in five or six chats, and that it was removed as spam. He insists Duncan was never banned from WPAFW itself and simply refused to return after the incident.

My thoughts and analysis

It is at least morbidly funny that the guy who crashed while driving drunk is named Drunken Duncan, but I have doubts about both stories: Duncan’s takes come off as very biased and opinionated, but WPAFW’s silence after such a serious incident also looks bad. The strongest point against WPAFW is their silence, not necessarily their actions during the incident.

Duncan’s account is emotional, accusatory, and broad (calling WPAFW “evil nazi fascists”), which hurts his credibility. His story hinges on being ignored and unfairly banned, but he provides no evidence of a convention ban or of the letter he claims WPAFW sent him. His emotionally charged tone makes it harder to accept his version at face value.

Bubsy’s side is more measured and detailed (Manick on the shuttle, ride offers, physical aggression), which makes it feel more plausible. However, it clearly frames Duncan as unreasonable right off the bat (which, to be fair, he probably was since he was drunk), and that bias may stem from loyalty to Manick, though Bubsy did provide me with proof of friendship with both.

Duncan claims on FA that there was no COVID policy, saying that if there had been, he would not have attended. He also insisted he paid for his ride, and he should have been allowed on regardless. However, WPAFW announcements prove there was a partial COVID policy that year, and it was prominently listed multiple times on WPAFW's Shuttle Telegram channel. The shuttle is also complimentary and doesn't cost anything for attendees to use, so I find his insistence on paying for the ride odd (unless he's claiming that his registration fees are covering the cost of the shuttle, which is technically true).
1757865067786.webp 1757865144372.webp 1757865230141.webp

I could not confirm if it was announced at registration, but we can still confirm that there were reminders on official channels at least a month in advance. According to this 2023 archive of WPAFW's Policy page, nothing is mentioned about a COVID policy. It could be reasonably presumed that in 2023, the policy was that vaccination proof was not required, but masks were mandatory on shuttles. While there's nothing in the archived policy about masking on the shuttle, WPAFW’s shuttle Telegram chat confirms there were several warnings given well beforehand, so there is absolutely no way Duncan would not have been aware of this.

Ultimately, Duncan’s reckless choices caused the accident. At least some staff intervened before and during the accident, and post-con support was limited but not exactly nonexistent. From a legal and ethical standpoint, WPAFW almost certainly does not have an obligation to cover Duncan’s medical bills. A convention’s duty is to provide a reasonably safe environment: venues that meet codes, safe shuttles, and clear policies.

This was not an injury caused by an unsafe shuttle or a poorly maintained facility. No matter how you look at it, it was still on Duncan choosing to bike drunk, without a helmet, at night, after refusing multiple safer options. That decision alone removes most liability from WPAFW. Even if you argue that the masking on the shuttle policy nudged him toward biking, the fact that he rejected an Uber or ride from his friend breaks most of WPAFW’s responsibility. If Duncan had tried to take this to court, I ultimately think he'd lose, because judges usually side against liability when someone ignores clear warnings and safer alternatives. Unless staff directly caused the injury, liability rarely sticks.

Could WPAFW have done more voluntarily, such as checking in with Duncan more or organizing a fundraiser for Duncan's medical bills? Yes, absolutely, but that leans more into an issue of compassion, not obligation. Compassion-wise, you could argue that Manick could have been more supportive of his friend's situation. But obligation is a higher bar, and ultimately, I think Duncan’s own refusals and aggression make that case weak.

Eh, suits are different. You're taking a human body and adding multiple layers to it already, then adding a shirt/pants. It looks bulky and dumb.

...Which by the way if you ever see a fursuit that is wearing pants/shorts, well. There's a reason. Don't touch them.
Regarding your latter statement, outfits can work on a suit design if it's well integrated into the overall look of the character. Generally speaking, eastern (specifically East Asian) suit designers and performers can be very, very good at designing a character with a customized outfit/fashion sense that integrates well with the design. You also see this often with western fantasy or science fiction inspired suit designs where they'll have armor or whatever, but generally they design the suits with proportions that will still work with worn clothing in mind. I agree though that if it's just a normal bargain bin suit that just has some pants and nothing else slapped on there's definitely a higher chance that it's something best avoided.

It would truly be a shame if more people realized that one of the main owners of the Furry TMZ group is none other than Len Gilbert, who, by the way, has had a KF thread since 2017.
Update to this: Apparently, Casey Morris Hoerth / Len Gilbert (who has a KF thread here) REALLY does not like it when people make the connection that Len Gilbert (author of furry erotica involving Nazi war criminals) runs Furry TMZ. I found out earlier today that my "Pinball" Telegram account was banned from viewing their channel, followed by (what I think) was either one of his friends or mods randomly deciding to go out of their way to contact me and try to guilt-trip me in Telegram DMs over this KF post. I'm cropping the name out because I'm not sure who this person is; if it's just some random ween, I don't really feel like feeding their ego any further than I already am.

Take note of how I asked multiple times if that information was incorrect. I even offered to talk with this forum's staff to edit/remove my old post if it was wrong.
1758018050031.webp

The funniest part is that at the time, I was not even subscribed to their channel (though I had been lurking on it at one point), meaning they would have had to intentionally go out of their way to track down my account to ban it, let alone have someone contact me to complain that I pointed out that the owner of Furry TMZ is Len Gilbert, a known nazi fur. I had no idea I was even banned until I got said passive-aggressive DMs. Clearly, these retards do not understand how the Streisand Effect works.

Never mind the fact that Casey / Len being the owner of Furry TMZ was already posted in his KF thread way back in February 2024. Never mind that Len proudly puts that he runs Furry TMZ front and center on his fucking Telegram account.
1758017148730.webp

It would truly be a shame if more people looked at Casey Morris Hoerth / Len Gilbert's Kiwi Farms thread and learned that the owner of Furry TMZ runs multiple Alt-Furry groups and published written furry erotica about actual World War II Nazis.
