Here's a scary thought. How many posted fursuit sex videos contain underage fursuiters? With a fursuit on it would be incredibly difficult to determine if it was an underage furry or just someone petite.
I'm sure a lot of teenagers use suits to hide who they are. Might also be why most makers won't make suits for kids or dwarves.

One of the people in the zoosadist leaks had pics of a teenager they groomed and raped wearing the groomers fursuit head (it was Tane, he still has that suit I believe).

Is Chairman Xi Jingping really putting on a better furry fuckfest than the good ol' United States? Pour a Tsingtao out for the poor Chinese government lackeys that are assigned this surveillance duty. Gotta make sure not too much Western degeneracy leaks in. How many social credits do these attendees lose? My questions are endless.
Furcons in Asia are way more chill than the ones in the West. For one thing Asians have a sense of shame/modesty that keeps things in check in public. As a result the public areas are pretty tame, no fetish stuff allowed, but the same shit happens in hotel rooms as in America. Foreign furs that visit are usually the ones that cause problems. Don't know as much about about China but at least in Japan it's more like any other online subculture. It sort of meshes in with the rest of the otaku subculture. Locals keep politics out of it and they don't openly display their furryness. Gaijin residents are another story entirely. Immigration restricitons mean that you don't get absolute bottom-tier scum so the people are of a better caliber but some crazy degenerates still inevitably worm their way in, usually as English teachers.

Some Asian makers are very strict with their terms but they're very quick at production. But you also have some like KigurumiKagetsu in Japan who got really popular with the Western fandom so they cater more to them and are happy to put in zippers in the necessary places.

My main question is if Xi is going to have anyone wearing a Winnie the Pooh fursuit run down with a tank.

Latex is a huge Fetish that tends to go hand in hand with furries over there for some reason. I think the strict laws on pornography and it being tailored to such a hyper conservative culture that a lot of the typical murrsuit/furry porn is very diffrent and features a lot of weird cross otaku fetishes. It's very bizarre and also very funny.

The next convention on the list is Winter Furry Fusion 2024, in Shanghai of all places.

https://www.furrychina.com/ - You can switch it to English in the upper-right. The automated translator is hilarious. [A]

Hosting a furry convention in dictatorial communist China with their high surveillance culture is strangely fascinating me. Their shit looks more professional than anything I've seen so far in this thread. It feels very sanitized and pre-approved, giving me more of a Comic-Con vibe.

sffBgVideo2.mp4

Promotional video. A majority of the fursuits have the same style. Is it one super-epic-ultra-mega maker? Do any Americans attend? I bet Western popufurs would be treated like rockstars here. The aura of degeneracy apparently is race-blind, the attendees are Grade A nerds.

They have a big boy sponsor, McDonald's. Do any US cons have corporate sponsors? Well, DO THEY? [A]

One would assume that a country like China would of banned furfag conventions.

Furrydelphia's continued on their weird a-logging over Garden State Fur The Weekend. While there's a lot to criticize GSFTW over rightly, FD took it to a pretty a-logging extreme by using the official Furrydelphia social media to straight-up accuse the GSFTW staff and attendees of being sex offenders as some "ironic" joke.

Anyways, yesterday they put out a time-lapse video of what appears to be someone driving from Philadelphia to somewhere in New Jersey. The video itself isn't particularly interesting but it ends with the text "May 2-4 2025".

Why are those dates notable? Because they're the same dates for 2025's GSFTW. Here's an excerpt from their website:

FD updated their socials today with a vague tweet telling people to follow a "furgeddaboutit" account that remains empty as of this writing. There's no official announcement yet, but I think it's fair to assume FD is planning on starting a con or event in New Jersey (or at least helping to set one up).

I really, REALLY hope this is something these guys have been planning for a while and not just something they slapped together quickly to try to one-up GSFTW. They've given themselves only six months to pull this off, which, if true, would make it one of the shortest turnarounds between inception/announcement and the actual convention in the history of furry conventions.

For comparison, consider this: Capital City Fur Con had at least two years of planning—and it was still a disaster. Free Fur All? At least a year and a half. GSFTW? The earliest post I could find about it dates back to 2020, giving them roughly four years of preparation. Yet all three conventions were complete disasters for various reasons, despite having plenty of time to plan.

In FD's defense, they are run by people who seem to understand how to properly manage a convention (obnoxious a-logging aside). However, this is still an alarmingly short amount of time to organize such an event, especially considering they are intentionally doing it to spite another event. Call me a pessimist, but I think Furgeddaboutit will be a poorly planned failure that ends up costing the people who run FD thousands of dollars just to "dunk on the evil Nazi chuds." Feel free to screenshot this message and quote me on it next summer.

Unrelated, but about a week ago, I mentioned that I was working on putting together some information about the mess that was GSFTW. I just want to let my fellow Kiwis know that I’m still working on it, but it’s become extremely long, detailed, and is taking more effort than I originally anticipated.

The last time I tackled something this extensive, I asked a few Kiwis in a group DM to proofread and share feedback. If anyone’s interested in joining that discussion, react to this post with a :optimistic: and I’ll set up a group DM for it later.

At 6 months, Furrydelphia/Furgeddaboutit have given themselves almost as little time as Fyre Festival had to set up, both events due to the incompetence of the "visionaries" organizing the event. The only way the new convention won't turn into another disaster zone scenario like Fyre Festival or Dashcon is if in reality they've been planning it for over a year and have most of the essentials (venue, staff, payment provider, etc) sorted out.

Asian Fursuit makers have an entirely different code of making fursuit than that of American fursuiters and Asians want their works to be high quality. It helps that Asians probably don't spend half of their time thinking on scamming their commissioners, grooming minors, or raping animals like American Fursuiters and Fursuit makers do.
As a whole they are also much lighter, thinner, and easier to wear than an american fursuit, Ik a cosplayer in china that went to cons wearing jiraikei with a furry mask in that style and I think if american ones put way more effort into just being nerds that dress up as cool things that don't smell like carpet samples they would likely be accepted a lot more by the mainstream in cons (and also if they stopped diddling people)

It boggles the mind to think someone would buy a custom 5.000$ costume of their own character and wait for months to receive it only to not spend like20$ and a few hours to clean it properly before and after a convention.

To be fair, a furry con is much easier to put together than the 'from scratch with little/no local amenities' Fyre Fest. With experienced, skilled staff, a furry con can be set up or moved to a new venue in weeks. It's been done with the occasional success.

But a suddenly-spammed spite con to draw from another's attendance? That's never, ever going to work. Popcorn for this one.

Pressing X to doubt; Pacific Anthropomorphics Weekend came about because Further Confusion was going to have a known domestic abuser named Sasho Windfeather as their con chair. There was enough of a stink raised about it that Sasho was forced to step down; however, it was too late for "PAWcon" to pull their contract.

This was in 2014. It's still going on today.

A lot of people claim you can't wash a fursuit. Some makers are lazy as hell and don't seal the paint for the eyes and whatnot so it will run off, not to mention fun fur will bleed colors so if you have a white suit it could discolor badly from any colored patches on it.
I still remember some idiot washing a brand new suit in a top-load washer and shredding it. It was on tumblr.
That and hand washing a suit is weirdly hard. Like, that thing weighs about as much as you do once it's wet, and it can't be dried by heat.

So yeah, i get why people don't wash suits, although they really should.

No it wasn't tumblr, it was a top load. 🥁

You're right, though that was less grudgewanky than this one is.

It is possible to wash fursuits, but realistically, just get a disinfectant like rubbing alcohol & dilute it with water. Spray the suit with it, problem solved. There are guides on this shit. People are just gross & lazy.

There's a lot of valid ways to clean fursuits that work fine.
There was a guy who made what was likely fetish content who would take his suit out paint balling, roll in mud, getting it absolutely filthy. He'd always get it clean for the next photo shoot.
Issue is most furries don't care that much. I know a few enjoy the smell.

A musky huskies are gross and should be kicked from con space

I will say, I've been to a few fur cons and weeaboo cons and weeaboos stink more

While -some- furries enjoy stinking, most dont and want to have gay sex with gay guys that also don't smell like a foot

Weeaboos gives no fuck they said I must protect my virginity by any means necessary

I'll corroborate this with a personal anecdote, i have visited both types of conventions and the Japanese cartoon adjacent ones tend to smell notably less pleasant, even discounting some of the hulking filth ogres that walk around you can just sense in the air there's a lot of people that have been sweating, now this can have different effects in different venues (mostly depending on if they have proper ventilation or not) but weebs do stink worse.
That is not to say there aren't disgusting furniggers, there is a reason why some cons have to put up the posters that tell them to "please sleep, eat two meals a day and take a fucking shower".
