Kinda feels like the artist only played City Folk without touching New Leaf or New Horizons, except to look at Label's design in New Leaf.

People into weirder stuff like snuff have usually went so far into the deep end they already know their interests are weird to other people, and happily accept that. I think it's why they tend to be so careful with censoring/thumbnails and tagging, as well as just sticking to the same artists over and over.
It's the ones who try to defend it to the death about it needing being normalized that are usually a warning sign. Fatfurs trying to pose under the guise of body positivity while fetishizing things like the writing someone posted here involving heart failure and such - Those scare me more than snuff does. It's so much more common to meet weird creeper feeder folk looking for a partner to enable disorderly eating within.

I find feeder porn and general obesity induced death and stuff along those lines (I.e today a friend of mine showed a dude I was talking to was a minor doing ERP scat anal vore death necrophilia porn) to be much more horrific than just disembowlment. I guess it is just my visceral primal reaction to that sort of stuff but it is genuinely horrific in every way shape and form. it is even worse when people try and normalise this stuff like you said, not even make it mainstream but just making it so it isn't a thing which is instantly looked upon as fucking hideous.

I also found out a person I know of follows that death feeder on twitter :suffering: Lord have mercy on me please.

To add to what the other commenters said, almost no information has been given about the upcoming game, at least last I checked. Less of a drip feed and more of a total drought, so obviously fans are frustrated. And some seem to be taking out their frustration in... interesting ways.
 
I've said it before, but it's almost impressive how MathiasBlack has been drawing for about 20 years and his art hasn't improved at all.

You'd think that as they go further down their sexual degeneracy they'd need to create more detailed and realistic depictions to be satisfied but nope they just keep doodling the same shit with no effort. Bizarre that a person can do something for so long and not even improve unintentionally; you'd think that through sheer trial and error they'd develop a bit of skill but nope. Autism sure is a fascinating disease.
