Generally, if a female lion starts growing a mane, its probably a tumor somewhere causing excessive testosterone and should be checked out (going by cases that have happened in zoos/safari parks).

Didn't even need to zoom in (thank the lord). I have what's known as "dragonfly eyes" when it comes to seeing shades of colour, so as soon as I noticed they were there I thought: "wait, why are there earthy, green patches on his ass they don't match the rest of his body- OH GOD NO."How did you notice that and if it’s for the reason I’m fearing, why did you zoom in…?
