When I first saw plane nsfw years ago, my first thought was of how much they looked like the old nose art from the wars with Shark paint and what not. I guess the whole anthropomorphizing them and giving them facial expressions makes it easier for them to connect to it or something.

Because you know, there has to be porn for those who identify as attack helicopters.
However if that isn't enough, one popular plane porn artist, Ratbat, is so obsessed with it that they not only made their own term for their characters, "dire machines", but they even made a picture series documenting the biology of a anthromorphic airplane with a penis that's on par with the "Disney's Cars Biology" memes floating around.

I mean, well, duh. It’s still porn. I guess my point is that people seem to be putting more effort into that shit these days? I mean, there’s tons of people who don’t, mind you, but it seems like a lot of others are trying to add story or worldbuilding. Whether that’s to have an excuse to do porn or whether it’s just because they like worldbuilding and porn I couldn’t answer, though. I’m not one of the people combining this strange cocktail of interests.
