To be fair, we only show the worst of the worst, which has been accumulated over the course of about two, going on three, decades. I don’t think anything talked about here really displays the majority of a fan base. Well, most fan bases. The ones with really weird central topics really can be accounted to this shit being a majority.

Yeah, there is some degree of selection bias going on here; you'd find similarly depraved shit in the Rule 34 thread on Community Watch.

However, I do think that furries are more disproportionately likely to have weird fetishes compared to the general population. The fact of the matter is that furries basically began with Robert Crumb and Comix (which were always sexually charged)- there always has and always will be a strong sexual undercurrent simply because of the culture in which furry fandom germinated.

I honestly think if Crumb saw some of the art in this thread, he'd be impressed- or at the very least feel like he's being imitated.

The fandom's origins being in sexuality can be seriously debated, but I will have to agree there sure seems to be more furries into weird shit than non-furries. Though even that can be debated with all the shit you see on DA or /d/ that isn't furry. Brings up the question of whether it's easier to mark furries having weird fetishes because you remember them because they stand out more than human characters? Icouldn't tell you and I'm honestly not autistic enough to test it.

My point wasn't that there's more furry porn than other porn. What I meant was that the ratio of weird-fetishists-to-vanilla-people is skewed waaay more in favor of weird fetishists among furries than it is among the general population.

Watch Fredrik Knudsen's video on the origin of furries- it's pretty comprehensive. While sex wasn't the reason furry culture came to be, the sexual undercurrent has been there since the very first zine. Like I said before, though the sexual undercurrent was not a driving force behind the subculture, its influence was strong nonetheless.

It's kind of like how drugs related to the hippie movement. Like, yeah, drugs didn't cause the hippie movement, sociopolitical upheaval and disenfranchisement with the war did. However, nobody is going to deny that drugs heavily shaped the aesthetic and temperment of the movement. A person could theoretically align themselves with the movement while also avoiding drugs in ths same way a person can like furry art without being a sexual deviant- but those individuals don't define the culture.

Definitely, if any of it relates to tall female furries with asses the size of a couch, especially if that furry is somehow giving Crumb's self-insert a piggyback ride. (Saw the biopic. Dude is weird, which veers into depressing territory when you realize Robert is the most functional and least upsettingly weird of the three Crumb brothers.)

My first thought was that they were a troll but uploading finished artwork consistently for two years for the sake of some no-name account seems really unlikely to me. The way they talk sounds really autistic as well.
There is a legend of a hidden cat. Some people told me that the cat was pink, but I don't believe them, because that's too absurd. What kind of person would dye their cat pink? When I was walking home tonight there was a sweet scent in the air. Kind of like donuts, I don't know. I also felt a breeze of wind for a half second as something would have run past me very fast. Whatever it was it's gone now. I want to sleep and just forget about that, but I keep hearing some weird scratching sounds against my window.
