It's why I'll always hold things like the Tricky Mod and (admittedly) the Tabi mod to the highest regard, they at least have some level of quality that bbpanzu will never match, all he can do is beg for attention that he doesn't deserve.
 
I know I'm late to the punch with this one but so was the mod so it balances out.

The "VS Impostor" mod got updated at some point and supposedly it tries to do some gayass story with its second week or some shit.

Either that or it's referencing some random Among Us fan thing like how I think it does with its week four aka the very "spooky" black impostor.
(Which is from some Creepypasta or something I think)

Anyways on that note, the thing that actually intrigued me had to do with the hamster, It's based on an April Fool's Day Mod for a fan Rivals of Aether character which was made by the same creator.

Side note: both of these two made an appearance in my first Rivals of Aether post on here, if you look closely you can see the "cotton candy" alt skin for Tomongus in the screenshots.

To start this off, I just want to say that I hate when people use the required items tab to advertise their other mods.

Like the Crewmate and Tomo make sense but the others are just two random mods made by him.

Note: the Crewmate isn't made by him so that makes it better as well.

Something to note is that he's only ever done this with one other mod, his Garfield mod which was also another meme mod.

Side note: I'm not showing Siren but she's a big titty witch girl and yet another human fan character for Rivals of Aether which was only done well by Joshua & Batit.

So it's pretty obvious why he does it but I find it funny that both Garfield and now Tomongus are more popular than all his other mods.

I guess that makes this advertising thing work better but still, no ones to plays as your shitty waifus.

They just want to play as the funny tomato with a visor and hamster inside of it.

I am fucking late to this. What you posted wasn't the comic people were freaking out about.
The actual comic that people lost their shit over was the notorious shock comic known as /v/ going to the movies created by Gutsybird. Most of this comic is fine, until you get to the final page, in which /v/ tan rapes his underage daughter jp tan, while vr tan get his Dick fisted by a black Mario.
Why was such a comic added to this mod, to get it off gamebanana, Here's one of the devs going into detail

IMO, for discussion sake: less is more. we really didn't need all these bells and whistles to be present in part 1.
we really didn't need the moving arrows, or the fancy particles, or 80 fucking death lines, or probably even the menu themes and shadowed-out graphics of all seven deadly sins.
but that's what we got
it doesn't help that it feels like that's where most of the focus went, with the rest going to either ectospasm or the goddamn booba moth.
all the fancy shit could have either all come later or not at all.
it's not like his target audience all has an up-to-date machine that can run that shit. being mostly kids and all.

i also fucking hated the direction he went for most of retro's songs. im high as hell i dont know what theyre called. you know those spasm-y notes at the start of spectral? the shit that he seems to use through the whole OST? i fucking hate that. made a mediocre soundtrack just bad.
but i'll be real: booba moth was added in as a fucking failsafe. if everything else sucked at least there's the porno lustmoth to attract half of twitter. and it worked. sakuroma is a stupid goddamn name.

TLDR: "i spent a couple thousand dollars on part one of my mod, why isn't it a universal favorite?" :(

I haven't played the mod, but I'm sure it falls under the line of "dialogue heavy oc mod with unfun charting and bad music".

there's 5 songs and none of them are very catchy and there's pretty much no actual vocals which is boring; but hey no dialogue to skip past.
I'd still rate it above vs retro any day
