Not true in most of Europe, and I suspect not even in the US. The real issue is that we don't have anyone to vote for. It's either a lying populist that promises but does nothing while in office, or some low brow grugg-brained brute that you're not comfortable allowing any leadership role. We need a new generation of well educated, right wing intellectuals that are focused on policies and goals accomplishing, not twitter drama.
Anti-intellectualism has been poison for the right for decades. I understand that contemporary academia is a leftist shitshow most of the time but the response shouldn't be to just toss out the idea of a well-cultivated and cultured mind in favor of brutish caveman-tier worship of a quasi-pastoral, insulated lifestyle that hasn't existed for over a century and we simply aren't returning to, in this generation or the next.

This right-wing anti-intellectualism unfortunately extends to the arts as well. Given how shitty most of contemporary art (and architecture -I'm sick of new construction mostly consisting of various types of corpo glass-curtain boxes) is, the right ought to be the ones to pick up the slack and recover the heights of the traditional arts and crafts of their respective cultures, but it seems like the trend is to just abandon the effort completely or churn out shitty, corny material which just apes the popular culture but with ham-fisted quasi-coservative ideology haphazardly thrown in. Stop creating things only for other right-wingers to consume. William F. Buckley and Sir Roger Scruton understood this. Re-claim the cities and towns and make them great again. If you move to a small town, live near the core and get involved in attracting small businesses and support healthy arts programs. Don't write off towns carte-blanche.

Fight smarter. Learn an artistic craft, pick up a second or third language, read good literature, study useful skills like carpentry, physics and engineering and most importantly - be joyful. It's difficult given the current circumstances (believe me, I know, it's a daily battle) but nobody is going to be convinced of one's arguments if they see that you're utterly miserable as a result.

They are fucking mental with it. Not one of them maintains their attitude when they get ill and get to the hospital, I've seen this like hundreds of times now. None will reject the MRIs and opiates and chemo, science is suddenly great when you wanna get back on your feet, as imperfect and flawed as it is for this new monke species. If they fear academic leftoid infestation, the solution is not to destroy everything, but to remove cancer from the academic body, and that's a surgery that is not easily performed, but there is no alternative.

This was interesting to me because the column's author is criticizing the riots while carefully sidestepping a lot of the story in order to not repeat any conservative talking points.
Because you don't have to and it's more persuasive to the kind of people who have gone along with this shit. In the 90s, a band like Sublime could diss the Rodney King riots as just an excuse to loot and just about everyone agreed and they weren't cancelled for it, not even a little bit. All the most annoyingly liberal kids were fine with Sublime. When Maxine Waters tried to rebrand it as an "uprising" she was laughed at.

In fact, you can basically just rely on what used to be liberal arguments in these things. Like, uh, it actually hurts these communities the most, which is obvious. Forcing people to choose extremes will force them to choose extremes.

fucking noice, and you can bet most people will be distracted.
italy also has a lot of nice stuff, might wanna check those out too before it goes all down the drain.
Thanks, though did get nearly assaulted at Fort Koenigsmacker. Ex-military dude who was up to no good caught us and followed us back to the car, when driver got in and closed the door, he ripped it open and tried pulling the driver out, then went round and punched my window and kicked the door. Got out of there sharp, he followed us down the motorway for a bit.

Staying a couple of nights in a "Premier Classe" hotel which is the epitome of Mr Schwab's vision.

Planning to do Italy next month, got the old NATO bunker in a mountain and tropospheric radio site on top of one planned.

I think the real issue is you can't trust the vote isn't rigged. The 2020 US election is a prime example.
Whatever your view on the legitimacy of the result, the fact remains there was a host of shady shit going on that was flat out ignored and swept under the rug by a partisan main stream media because they are no longer neutral but serve as the propaganda arm of political parties. Faith in the entire election system has been undermined because the people that should be looking at things with an unbiased eye and searching for answers instead pulled the whole "What do mean? Stop noticing things"Consoom. Obey. Stay Asleep shit and instead of restoring and upholding peoples already shakey faith further alienated them.

Alright, let me know when there’s a fistfight at a polling station. Or when a car is driven through one. Or when a car holding ballots is stopped and ballots are inspected in the middle of the street. Or the inspector is surrounded by armed guards as he does his job.

but what makes me mad is that the government official will allow businesses and regular people get vandalized or killed. but if these riots went to government buildings or the presidential palace, you know the orders would be given to shoot on sight.

There's a difference between hard-won expertise and "intellectualism," I mean your and Nevsky's weird take doesn't match reality at all

Hello yes, I am going to do an impression of the average American poster:

"Why don't they just gun down hundreds of people by themselves and then deport innocent women and children! What? That'd cause every country with any amount of money to embargo them? WELL JUST HAVE MORE MONEY THEN"
Hello yes, I am going to do an impression of the average European poster: REEEEEEEE AMERICANS FAT MUTT REEEEEEEE *gets arrested for hate speech* You live in a police state and only have to a place to speak because of this American hosted website. Shut the fuck up.

France has one of the most generous safety nets in the world. It has good schools. It has good healthcare. Good roads even. Unlike I bet 99% of the posters here from the states, I like France. I like it so much that it breaks my heart when I see this, because these people literally need to touch grass. They have themselves convinced that they are in some sort of evil society, when that's laughable. It's one of the best places to live on the planet, and they're ruining it because they had some microagressions or because they're not as rich as the people who have lived there forever even if they are 9000x better off than they would be in Algeria or Mali or whatever godforsaken "post-colonial" shithole they came from. I bet there are thousands all over the world that would trade some sideye from cops for what they have in France.

The cops are racist? OK, how are the cops in the country they come from? Probably corrupt murderers who will rape your daughter. Also maybe don't burn down your neighborhood and people won't think you're wild apes. And supporting this kind of shit is only going to turn the public against you. Retarded, nihilistic, uncivilized shitskins are really working hard to undermine the stereotypes.

and if the vote isn't rigged they go out of their way to remove the option because it would be a "danger to democracy". see all the trump lawfare bullshit or going after right-leaning parties and demonizing them in the media to scare off voters.

biggest irony is that if democracy is the will of the people, and most vote cause whatever outcome, isn't that the will of the people too? but no, can't have the wrong opinion...

military places are always spicy if they're still in use or just mothballed, comes with the whole spying angle. otherwise private security can be pretty chill if they understand you're just there for looking, not looting and vandalizing.

this NATO bunker?

there are a few radar stations in italy apparently, remember one video especially but can't find it any more.

it's ayran, not aryan. biggest irony since it features a turkish-german "rapper", hence the name.
müller is a milkshake brand, usually sweet but that one is just yogurt, salt and milk apparently...

So it seems the happening is largely over and it's back to business as usual, while the information crackdown is still in full swing and Macron (+ the French state surveillance apparatus) has further entrenched his power with little to no pushback. Can't say this was an unexpected result.
Pretty much the same as Canada. Leftist fucktards support their leader becoming a tyrant to "own the racists"

Probably a little less known but the (Romanian) government of Moldova has recently banned their main opposition party because they are more pro Russia than pro EU and also had the audacity to oppose LGBT nonsense. They are also attempting to (or possibly have already) take away their rights to vote for having views contrary to the current government.
