So it seems the happening is largely over and it's back to business as usual, while the information crackdown is still in full swing and Macron (+ the French state surveillance apparatus) has further entrenched his power with little to no pushback. Can't say this was an unexpected result.

IDK how accurate this is because I can only find this one source and idk how reliable it is but seemingly the French are not happy with the riots and aren't sympathetic to the rioters.

The poll conducted by Odoxa and Backbone Consulting among more than 1,000 adults from July 5-6 found that 59% believed that "the migration law should be toughened." A further 38% said it should not, while 3% said they did not know.

The same poll showed that only 14% supported the rioters who rampaged through France after the police killing of a teenager of Algerian descent on June 27.

Eighty-four percent denounced the week-long violence.

Slightly over 70% of those polled called for curbs on new migrant arrivals. Despite this, only 13% blamed the rioting on "failed assimilation," while 62% said it broke out because of a rise in crime.

That's true. The far-right has been on the rise for that reason.
Majority of the citizen wanted the government to take actual actions against the rioters. The police openly condemned the government for not being more involved.
For lack of referendum, the fundraiser towards the cop's family was what was used by some to express how unhappy they are with the riots, thus how it ratio'd the fundraiser towards Nahel's mom.
Silent majority.

How can one be against deportations and for colorblindness when you have stuff like above? You have to be literally retarded to play with this ethnic mixing fire.

There won't be a caliphate, the migrants are godless, at most it will be an Afro-Arab failed gangster shithole country but with nukes and in NATO.

This happening actually happened, it was a heavy riot that featured a lot of arson and looting for 4-5 days. The notion that they were going to overthrow the government and institute a caliphate was hyperbolic.
I agree, somewhat. There were a few nights of pissed off people, a couple of fires, a bit of smashy-smashy. Was it the full brown European Arab-spring some were expecting? Or the trouncing of uppity migrants by overly-zealous Gendarmes? Did this riot reach summer of love levels of fiery but mostly peaceful?

If anything, this riot burned itself out as the rioters got bored after a few days and just went home. Maybe my expectation of a happening is world-altering or history-making event; otherwise it is just a long news story.

i hate to admit it but the social theory about riots was correct. when civil unrest boils over, it has to be released in the form of riots. because of the spontaneous nature of it, the rioting will eventually burn out.

my guess is that a nefarious figure or group can direct the riots so it go into a certain direction (see 2020 summer of love), but that is why the french government shut down all social media, so these riots can end quicker.

but what makes me mad is that the government official will allow businesses and regular people get vandalized or killed. but if these riots went to government buildings or the presidential palace, you know the orders would be given to shoot on sight.

This reached the same intensity as the original George Floyd riots in Minneapolis, we can't be certain about a full summer of love outbreak, I find the circumstances unlikely to happen, the whole covid lockdowns building a bunch of angst up and enforced unemployment is largely what drove the continued riots all through the summer of 2020, it largely faded off in late August when children started going back to school and university, Rittenhouse was one of the last big loot and arsonfests, there was one small looting affair in Philadelphia around Halloween but that got wrested under control in a single evening.

No, what is more insidious is that the governments of the West have zero interest in actually stopping the arson and looting during these riots. For the most part the civic government just shrugs their shoulders and lets the mob have their way, this used to be just a single night of rage, but now its starting to spill over into multiple days if not a full week. The first instance of this new tactic that I can remember is because my father keeps raging about it years later, Ferguson, the original BLM riots. The mayors literally ordered the police to stand down and let the mob have their way. Since then we notice that each outbreak of this heavy rioting by black/brown people follows the same trend, the police action is anemic, even from gargantuan forces like the NYPD which is larger than most NATO member's military, they only protects government buildings and their own police stations, the rest of the locality is pure anarchy with business owners and other citizens being thrown to the wolves, and if they use lethal force they're arrested for it.

The problem is the assumption the Governments care if you are even alive. The general sentiment from the top seems to be is that most of you are nothing but a drain.

the social contract is the government protects therefore the people obey. if the government doesn't do basic protection, say from a rioting mob, what is the point of obeying?

the normie answer is we live in a liberal democracy. just vote the government out. but the problem with that is those that are rioting and those who sympathize with them outnumber the rest of us.

Not true in most of Europe, and I suspect not even in the US. The real issue is that we don't have anyone to vote for. It's either a lying populist that promises but does nothing while in office, or some low brow grugg-brained brute that you're not comfortable allowing any leadership role. We need a new generation of well educated, right wing intellectuals that are focused on policies and goals accomplishing, not twitter drama.

May be late on this video. Just some rage bait for you.

In saner times the only reply to him would be "maybe you shouldn't have lost when we invaded then" before popping a bullet into his head.

Ah, good ol demoralization kicking in just when realization is about to come. You don't want to be racist, now do you goy? And it's between Macron and that mean ol racist bitch Le Pen, guess we have to go with the pedophile victim turned tinpot dictator again!
