Europe is seeing some kind of turn away from the left with Spain soon having a center-right goverment (which would mean one of the main entry points into Europe might close permanently). The reason people tell you not to do things isn't for optics, it's for your own protection. Whatever you do is guaranteed to be stupid, and the best case scenario is that you achieve nothing. Bit of a powerlevel on me but we used to make something we'd affectionately call the works because well it was the works. We'd take a 2 liter bottle fill it partway with some of the works drain cleaner and some wadded up tin foil and close up the top good and tight and that stuff would eat the foil and release a gas inside building up pressure that would ultimately lead to a really big boom and a cloud of acrid smelling smoke that would burn the hair out of your nostrils.
