I think people lie completely all the time on the internet.

I am not saying Fred is doing this of course. I just do not agree with you that most people do not outright fabricate things on internets. I think this happens much more often than most realize. I find this a fascinating side subject (I apologize to others for misdirecting thread). For examples, the "Million Little Pieces" book. I had American friend give me this book and immediately I thought it was bullshit and it was. BUt this book makes a lot of money and convinces many people it is true.

But you are also true that people do half lies just as often. I do not know...sorry I am drinking wine while typing which is never good idea.

Edit: DarkSoulsPhil please do not sell yourself short. You form full sentences in English that my drunk ass can read. My experience places you in a minority of people in internet.

I lived in Ohio for some time and there were lots of Latino people there. Not everyone below the border stay where ICE has a stronger foothold in.

Some nigga been hassling me in DMs to find this picture again and asking why I didn't post it here. I didn't because I'm lazy. Here it is.

Ok so apparently ages ago when fred was in a skype call and didn't have a webcam he joined and this picture showed up. This is supposedly "him" and it was sent to me by someone who I wouldn't think would just send random fake shit out of the blue and certainly has some prior credibility:

Even though the picture isn't that useful right now, I just posted it because I would believe the source to be credible, however the picture sitting in my inbox and never being posted doesn't really do much.

I think the first picture looks different:
  • The ear lobes in the first picture look to me like they are attached, in this picture they look to me like they are unattached
  • The nose in the first picture flares up, in this picture it flares down
  • The second picture is of a guy who has some pretty serious jowls forming, which might only be because it's a later picture

If that's him I'm guessing he never showed his face because he was afraid people would make fun of him looking like Angry Joe.

agree. but the most recent one by neger is most likely him.

being it was from a trusted SOK member in the super early days. I doubt at that early stage fred would have been as careful and most likely had his own pic as his skype photo
 
Wasn't sure where to put this, so i'll just briefly necro this thread.


I assume this was caused by the recent Wings of Redemption A-log meltdowns, but someone finally decided to make a somewhat comprehensive video on the SoK sudoku.
 
I think the only perspective missing is that of Fred himself. Even the predators on the Chris Hansen show gets to at least try to excuse their actions. All Fred did was to e-bully people online. I hope he doesn't take his secret to the grave. In any case, I don't understand why some people react to this badly. It's just the retelling of some shit that happened that most people don't even know about unless they where directly involved.

The whole thing kind of remind me of the movie "The wave" Or maybe it was more like "days of our life" In a whole and in retrospect for me at least it really had some entertainment value. So I appreciate the effort the guy took to try and explain it. And given the fact he wasn't directly involved it he did a ok job. It's a very simplified version of events but it sort of get some of the major plot points.

One thing I have to say is that Freds biggest mistake was to take this all to seriously. But that have to be a valid criticism directed towards other players as well, even myself at one point. For anyone that wasn't invested in it or directly involved. it's just ridiculous bullshit. And I understand why people are interested in that and find it entertaining.
 
I think as the SOK grew Fred's paranoia of his identity being found was growing. At one point I think they were getting 3k viewers on their streams.

Yeah I was there for the 3k viewers. Which is 1k more than Tevins max and double his average. They stole so many viewers from Phil that members of the chat would willingly get banned to say 'going to sok stream' (when they did stream at the same time).

Its kinda where Tevin's service to the community comes into it. If you want to shit on Dave and not get banned, go to a restream. Its now got to the point that there is a 24/7 stream, Tevin and LSB who at various times cover his content. Phil had a lot more detractors back then

Do you still have some examples of Fred in skype we could perhaps compare writing styles to?

In the interest of being skeptical, you do have a rather well documented history online. Lots of people should be able to recount things when talking to you... and what you're reading as hating/obsessing could very easily be looking for a reliably entertaining over the top reaction.

Let's crack this case, you Exceptional Detective!
