Nobody is saying that they're saints in this affair. Even the members themselves are willing to admit that they should share some blame. The point is, though, that even though this is fact, they didn't deserve to be treated the way that they did. Even ignoring the obvious "But they chose to stay!/They still kissed his ass!", having that shit happen once, from someone who's supposed to be on good terms with you, in an environment where you at least expect people to be civil, is not right.

Call me an apologist, but I strongly believe that your actions towards someone should play the bigger part in how they treat you, as opposed to some weirdo flexing his e-penis because he can, and because he enjoys the feeling of being in control. If they treated Fred badly, and he retaliated, then that's a different story. But from the facts before us, what happened was that they did nothing to Fred to warrant what he did, and it was all just because he felt like doing it, because he clearly likes to play the role as the Mafia boss, controlling others, and if you disobey, it's a wrap.

Oh well, at least I had patience to put up with it. Now I gotta face the consequences like everyone else does. Nobody here is innocent on this, we've stated that many times before and I never claimed I was either. The best thing I can do is to move on and focus on bigger and better things. At least I learned about who Fred really was before it's too late. I'm just glad to not be part of the group anymore because the DSP shit turned into a complete joke over the past few years and people took it too seriously. I got no problems with people talking about him on twitter and such, but for the love of god stop acting like you're his banker, nobody cares about how much he spends on fast food and useless junk.

Anyways, I agree with most of what you said. We're all gonna look back at this and laugh about it, at least that's what I think. I don't plan to go back when there's nothing to go back to and I got other people I genuinely like talking to and Fred isn't one of them simple as that. I spent enough time with the guy to know who he really is and how he acts.

And as for @Doperwtje , I have no issues with him at all, I seriously wished that shit with the twitlonger never even happened and I got lumped into it because I was streaming that podcast even knowing damn well it wasn't a good idea, we still did it anyways and I feel really bad about it and I even discussed after the stream that I wasn't too happy with the idea, but Fred didn't care at all he still wanted to upload the video to prove his point. Doper recently even reached out to me and we talked about a lot of stuff and he'll pop in calls in the server we're in and we have a good time. He's a good guy and he didn't deserve to be treated like that. So I understand why a lot of people were upset about the reaction to it and the rep of the group really went downhill after that. Sticking around in it honestly didn't help, so yea.

I personally doubt that he will come back. His 'carreer' is over and I think he realises this himself. If we would live in a world were DSP still would have a couple of years to go, I would see that another detractor/SoK-like group would form. But I don't think DSP's carreer will last long enough for this to imerge. However, I saw some other people trying to do 'Let's Endures', they didn't get more than 1k views on their vids though.

Fred carried on with a pseudo invincible armor that he was made of Teflon and nobody could challenge him. That's why he displayed such arrogance towards even members of his "inner circle."
It wasn't until the leaks started that SoK members started paying attention to the fact that they were being lead by a tyrant. It was evidenced that Fred could be stood up to without fear or being intimidated. It just took the right people at the right time given the proper motivation. Fred's shield had been broken and his reputation given a killing stroke.
I am under no illusion that some people got off easy by jumping ship at the last minute, and I have explained this to them privately. The real test of the character of people will be in the weeks and months to come. All was not simply forgotten with twitlongers.
So far I have seen a near complete abandoning of a-logging pertaining to DSP which gives me optimism. Keep it up.

As much as I sympathized with Pol over his treatment at Fred's hands. I feel I should say something after seeing what a user named AbsolutelyAnime posted over in Pol's own thread. There's always someone looking for some e-fame, and they tend to be the ones who are willing to associate with shady people, even after their shitty dealings are exposed. We've already seen some proof of that during the first days following the leaks. Some dude named Fayt came in here with the "DSP is the real enemy, so the SoK is forgiven" talk. While he may be one of the few who are vocal about it, i'm sure there are a lot more who think the same way. And those are the ones who will allow the SoK to make a return if/when Fred decides to try again.

Truth be told in my case, and I'm sure it's the case for quite a few others. We weren't there because we were pressured by Fred. We were there because we had built up friendships with everyone in that community. It's not the easiest thng to walk away from. Especially when you know that if you do Fred will make sure he drags your name through the mud enough to destroy your relationships with everyone. By the time I was questioning my own "friendship" with Fred, his motives, his actions, etc.; and I thought about jumping ship I was already in too deep into the inner workings and politics of the group so I tried to tough it out just so I could keep the friends I had even if I knew Fred was already starting to talk shit behind my back. What made me decide to finally leave was that I came to the conclusion that I was miserable being in the SoK. I didn't even want to be there, and by that point no one was even talking to me anymore since Fred had madeit an unwritten rule after moving everyone to the Overwatch group. Which I wasn't allowed to be a part of. At that point I decided I'd rather leave and stay in contact with everyone via twitter than continue feeling miserable every day on skype in a group I didn't even want any part of anymore, and while I would have liked it to have been like Che where I could have left amicably with no trouble, I knew Fred would never let me do that. But at that point I just didn't care anymore. I knew Fred wanted me gone so why sit in Fred's empty skype chat prison when I could just leave and find a new group to be happy in? That's how I felt at that moment at least, and well I didn't even make a big stink of it either. But Fred wanted to spin it into drama where there wasn't any just because "how dare you publicly leave my group?!"

This, pretty much. The entire point of all this is to shed some light on the events, and the former members are the best source of information available. It's not like we're sat here, petting them while whispering "Don't worry, it's not your fault...", or anything. It's just that there's really no sense in acting like a cunt when they have the info, and have actually decided to share it.

Tearing them a new one when they're providing screencaps and such will only encourage them to not even bother. And as said, they've already been admitting that they're not getting out of this scot-free.
