on the other hand, intentionally bribing figures of authority (doctors) to over-prescribe the drug designed to be addictive as a treatment for medical conditions goes a little beyond "lol this junkie sought out the drugs himself, it's his own fault"

Last I checked it involves living in a society.

Some people feel that along with things like preventing child prostitution, addicts should be assisted in not completely destroying their lives.

I prefer to imagine that even as much as the DNC is trying to excise Tulsi from this campaign the media still mentally ranks her as more likely to get elected that Buttigieg.
