The poll will be posted after the debates. I'm happy to see Tulsi return, but I hate Tom Steyer, mixed bag. I predict tonight is going to be a total mess, this is make or break time.

Speaking of, I noticed how most of the Dems in that room started shilling for the Green New Deal because "muh climate change".

Does AOC have psychic mind-control powers? Why are the Dems now lining up in supported of the 'tarded nonsense that was the Green New Deal?
This isn't a "now" sort of thing, they all endorsed it before a copy of it leaked early this year. I'm chalking up continued support (after it's embarrassing vote in the Senate) to candidates banking on voters interested enough to pay attention to the primary also being low-information enough to not actually read what was in the bill.

he was the target of Tulsi Gabbard's campaign destruction cannon in this debate over the issue of foreign policy. I expect his polling stats will flatline much in the same way Harris' did after she got called out by Gabbard two debates ago.
The strategy was magnificent, Gabbard went after the only other vet on stage to force him to try and defend endless war in Syria, which he obviously failed to do.

Where Trump ruminates on how to troll his enemies and dangles traps in front of their faces, Tulsi just opens up the orbital ion cannons and very slowly initiates maximum pulse. Both strategies are immensely entertaining to watch.

The Democratic Party is turning more radical and insane. The Louisiana election the other night wiped out all but one of the state's blue dog moderate Democrats.

Moderate Democrats are finding themselves becoming Independents and Republicans. You can't be a Democratic nominee in 2019 without kowtowing to the insane SJW/Progressive/Media wing of the party.
I agree. Modern left wing or center left parties like the Democrat and Labor party realized that the demographics of their countries are shifting both radically and quickly from white to brown, and as such they're doing their best to capitalize in getting those voters in contrasts to the conservative parties that are more exclusive and willing to implode then adapt to future trends.

As much as I dislike it, I understand the Democrat party can't market itself as simply moderate and centrist, like in the Bill Clinton era of the 1990's. And being pro-American is a death sentence because of the changing face of Western civiliaztion is finding more fault then national pride in Western countries.

All this health care talk is just word salad. It's kind of annoying.
No details, just talking points.
I think that's the biggest reason why there's so much skepticism about "Medicare for All." It sounds good in theory, but nobody has revealed any numbers to help people see how the premiums would compare to current coverage on the individual market (aka ACA/Obamacare).

The fact none of the candidates have gone beyond talking points and promising to tax anyone with money in order to fund this means either they have no idea or they know it would cost so much the public would likely not want to bear the tax burden needed for it.

The commonwealth fund report says that 45 million people have insurance, but spent 10% (5% if poverty level) of their income on premiums.
I'd bet it's probably more. People with insurance from their employer only have to pay 9.5% or less of their AGI towards premiums. Those with individual plans -- even with subsidies -- can pay up to 30% of their take home pay for a decent silver level plan. They people that need coverage the most still end up paying the most as they did pre-ACA.

So...what? Is that really a threat? 99% of abortions are choices. Just don't fuck unprotected or if you're not ready, and you'll be fine. Why is this really a problem?
Suddenly, the site's adage of, "Don't stick your dick in crazy," takes on new meaning. It also reminds me of a quote from an unknown source from years ago along the lines of, "With all the talk about birth control, what happened to self control?"

Sad that the politics which attracted so many immigrants must die because it isn’t enough like the socialist ratdens they fled

That little tidbit about Tom Steyer bragging about his father being the assistant to the Chief Prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials piqued my interest, and I found something interesting when I went rummaging around to see what he was talking about: He's lying.

The American Chief Prosecutor for those trials was Associate Justice Robert H. Jackson. His assistants were Telford Taylor, Benjamin S. Kaplan, and Thomas J. Dodd. Lieutenant Roy H. Steyer, on the other hand, was on the staff of Section Chief Commander Sidney J. Kaplan, US Coast Guard Reserve. Roy Steyer prepared documents. He was literally just a paper-pusher and an organic filing machine.

He was not a prosecutor.

I also can't help but notice that on the Nuremberg Trials wiki, it looks like someone just came in and crudely stapled Roy Steyer's name to the bottom of the prosecutors list, but the only thing that it sources to is his obituary. I'm not very good at reading Wikipedia edit histories, but I would be really interested in learning when, exactly, that was taped onto the page.

Steyer said that his father's experience "as a prosecutor in Nuremberg" made him realize that Trump needs to be impeached. Well, since Steyer's father wasn't a prosecutor in Nuremberg, what does that say about the necessity of impeaching Trump? Why can none of these people resist chasing after stolen valour?

I'd be angry about the amount of lying going on here, but for a man who spent as much as he did to get in the primary, Steyer was given next to no mic time (and looked like a deer in headlights for most of it, literally redirecting everything to Trump or vague anti-corporatism), so I'm mostly enjoying watching a #NeverTrump billionaire wasting his money.

I got called a nutcase a few months ago for saying the future of the Democratic party lies in pushing leftward. Nobody wants to believe the socialist but its painfully obvious that the cat is out of the bag and the myth of the careful moderate is imploding. When the squad officially endorse Bernie the shift will be practically complete.

What a sanctimonious son of a bitch.
He's a dick, but makes a good point, though. If the Left and CNN/NYT think that Climate Scary is such an enormous deal that's going to actually fucking murder us in about 10 years why the Hell are they asking about a photograph of some talk show host? I also noticed that there wasn't a single question in the debates concerning China or Hong Kong, even though China's been making headlines all over the place for the last few days and Xi Jinping just came out the other day and said that "Any attempt to divide China will result in "bodies [being] smashed and ground into powder."

You'd think that sort of overt attack against democracy would be worth talking about, but you know, Ellen.

I don't know if Tulsi wants that. She's the only one with the guts to get there, which is why she is hated by the establishment, but I don't think she's strong enough to be publicly lambasted everyday like Trump has been.
Where's Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship again? I mean, there's two possibilities to explain his failure to deliver on campaign promises- either he was a tool of the bosses all along, or he actually is a pussy.

So, the edit was made by a guy who specializes in pro-regime change propaganda, and who has no background in history...
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The big hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is the one that comes out when you realize that it probably wasn't actually someone paid by Steyer who put that into Wikipedia, but someone paid by Steyer to prep him for the debate told it to him and he accepted it and repeated it without thinking.

Well, it's no secret that socialism is not a dirty word with today's youth, and the youth tend to favor democracy, green energy, reforms and the like. Basically democratic socialism as practiced in western Europe. Not a Democrat but I'm interested in unions and labor, so it's no surprise most of them are non-white and the white people who do show up are younger compared to their parents and grandparents. Whenever we protested a solid majority of protesters were brown and a few young whites; who usually try to overcompensate themselves because of that.

I went to the Harvard Law School Nuremberg Trials Project and the name Steyer doesn't come up in any search. I wonder why?

Edit: HLS has most of the documents from the trials archived there so if Roy Steyer was an assistant prosecutor he'd show up.

Castro does come across as a smug asshole all of the time, and he certainly comes across as such in that tweet.

However ... Amid the smug, he makes a fantastic point for once: He mentions the issues while pointing out how outrage culture does nothing productive. Everybody on the left is too focused on being mad at a lesbian daytime talk show host for hanging out with Bush at a football game to think about the larger issues.

We can all disagree about what are pressing issues, of course, but I still think that Castro's point stands. In terms of playing a political game (you know ... a campaign), this is a pretty solid play.

What a sanctimonious son of a bitch. How smug can you get?

"cage babies = bad
immigration = good
climate change = bad"

wow man, that was really enlightening. You said the exact same thing as everyone else on stage. I'm glad we spent our time in the debate discussing this. I'm sure the audience has learned just how unique you are, and why they should choose you over the other clone troopers.
