F1 TO DROP MGU-H, SETTING UP LIKELY RED BULL VOLKSWAGEN TIE-UP

This isn't particularily surprising because not a single fan gave a fuck about there being a hybrid system in F1 and WEC is a far better place for actual developmental work of road-worthy versions because the pressure for compactness and miniaturization is very strong and doesn't really matter in road car deriatives. It also is quite an expense for a system barely anyone cares about outside of marketing people and boardrooms of automotive companies.

The MGU-H is the one that takes the energy from the turbo but importantly is used to spin up the turbo to reduce/eliminate turbo lag so we will possibly see quite a change to how the cars drive there.

Reddit are of course crying that it was all Vestappen's fault and he should have let Hambone through. Its almost as if all the annoying Hamilton fans that infest reddit don't know the rules of the sport.

This was some genius edit on Wikipedia that was removed.

Another very likable podium.

I'll be so happy when we get to the likes of Norris, Russell etc being the ones battling up the top consistently. All very likable guys. Hamilton is a douchbag and while I want Vestappen to win because I want Hamilton to lose he ain't all that likable a personality.

"They had a high speed crash in silverstone" fuck you Toto, you know full well that was never Max's fault.

Great race, fantastic. And I have to admit, Bottas drove an absolutely stellar race, maybe even the best of his career. Maybe I did him wrong and he's actually a good driver, once Mercedes allows him some breathing space.
Great podium. Ricciardo is always such a treat and he inflicted his horrible yet hilarious shoey tradition on his teammates. Norris is also a great driver, had his hands full holding his position and drove a perfect race.
A bit disappointed with Vettel, got into two small tangles and ended 12th (or 11th with Ocon's penalty I guess).

But now for the big thing everyone's talking about: Fuck Hamilton. A shame Verstappen couldn't continue, it would have made it perfect. Watched the replays of Hamilton coming out of the pits and he instantly tries to squeeze Verstappen and leaves him no space on the straight, then he wegdes him into the curbs in the chicane. Verstappen would have been smart to just go behind Hamilton and then take advantage of his warmer tyres on the next straight/chicane, but he was totally justified not giving in to Hamilton's bullshit maneuver. I'll be laughing my ass off when FIA decides that Hambone caused the collision.
After making Verstappen crash out on the first lap a couple races ago, there is no need for anyone to accomodate his shitty and reckless driving.

The German commentators lamented that "Verstappen should know that Hamilton won't give in, so he should not have forced it".
It's like they are outright saying that Verstappen should not hold his ground against Hamilton, cause Hamilton is well known for not being a fair driver. Fuck that noise, I am glad the stupid asshole got his just dessert. If this championship is decided like the one between Senna and Prost with Verstappen on top, that would be icing on the cake. As a fan, I can't really say this is a bad thing, it keeps the tension up - certainly better than one guy leading with 150 points by the halfway mark.

We've seen close fights for the title, but this feels way more aggressive than those times in the past tbh. I just hope no one gets hurt if this shit escalates.

The British commentators are pretty much saying that same that Vestappen should have taken to the run off rather than trying to make the corner because he knew there would be contact. Fuck right off with that "well Hamilton didn't leave him a car's width but vestappen should have just let him have it.

It shows the utter incompetence of Hamilton that he was still trying to reverse his car out until the team told him to turn it off. Like dude you should know you have just taken race ending damage, that isn't persistence, that's stupidity.

Yeah, it would have been just his kind of luck to somehow not take damage, get the car untangled and then continue onwards towards an effortless podium... but in that case it was rather obvious that even if he had gotten his car back on track and free of the RB, the resulting damage would not have allowed him to continue driving. The thing is, with the damage he had, trying to reverse just risked sever damage to various parts such as the power unit. A shame he didn't blow up his engine

The Lewlew Dicksucking is really grating. Dude attempted to run Verstappen off the track twice within 50m of track and people just have to allow this kinda bullshit? Why? If anything, this crash showed that Hamilton is a stubborn asshole and a dirty driver.

I just hope this will be treated as racing incident (it's illusory to hope Hamilton gets a penalty... god, can you imagine the kind of whining if Hamilton got a grid penalty?).

:story:

I really dislike this douche, but I want to express that I am happy that he wasn't injured.
Obvious head-injuries prevented by the roll hoop and possibly HALO aside, if Max' heat exchanger had been ripped, Hamilton could have been doused with boiling hot water. That's just nasty.

Disappointing, but expected from the Hamilton protection committee stewards.

Where was this penalty when Lewis arguably maliciously punted Max on the super-high speed corner at Silverstone? Max gets the hospital, Lewis gets a free pass. This was much more of a hard-racing incident where two stubborn drivers fought to mutual destruction, Max eats a penalty. Bullshit.

Admittedly, they gave Hamilton a 10 second penalty back then, which amounted to jack fucking shit. Let's just hope Max can drive his way to the top anyway.

Might be a good time to introduce a new set of power unit components to max's car. They're pretty certain they're going to eat that penalty at some point so why not take it then and negate this bullshit.

The FIA puts blame on Max for not being in a sufficiently good enough position to warrant trying to commit to the racing line without backing off.
Did these clowns watch the same footage as me? Dude was on warmer tyres on the inside line of a chicane, he would have outpaced Hamilton if Hamilton had not slammed the door shut.

Hambone fanboys now gloating over Max being to blame. Remember those are the same faggots that said Hamilton pressing his magic brake button was "not a mistake", he merely accidentally pushed the button without realizing it.
