We're only 4 rounds into the 2021 season and Mazepin has upset 8 of the 19 other drivers already. I wouldn't want to be Mazepin when he manages to piss off Max, George or Tsunoda in the heat of battle.

 
The thing that I wonder about: Is Mazepin genuinely this disliked by his peers or is it just a matter of selective perception?
Like, every driver calls any other driver an idiot at some point and a rookie is more likely to end up in a position where he shouldn't be... but it sure feels like Mazepin is completely out of his league and no one has the least amount of respect for him. We're only a few races into his F1 career and he's already had issues with half the field, one can only hope he'll not harm someone at some point.

I kinda hope he'll have a minor kerfuffle with Hamilton and then making monkey noises in his face, when Lewlew does the abloobloo.

Lewis still has 6 points on his license, would like to see if Mazepin could goad him into earning the other 6.

Well they already moved on from the Russell Bottas fraccas. If Mazepin had done either of their reactions then the media would still be screeching about it. So yes there is certainly a good amount of selection bias in the reporting.

Mclaren using retro livery for Monaco. Looks great.

Formula 1 needs to make Monaco into their version of NASCAR's Darlington Throwback weekend. That, and maybe loosen up the livery rules for each team's home grand prix (I.E. McLaren could have a special livery for Silverstone, Haas for COTA, Ferrari/Alfa Romeo at either Imola or Monza, etc.).
 
Doing it in Monaco would make most sense since they're the only event remaining that still uses grid girls and a track that's very much stuck in the pre-war racing sensibilities. However, it seems like it's up for the teams to decide if they want to do throwbacks but if they did so, there are a lot of potential liveries for everyone even if they just stuck to what the teams have used in the past.

Less on track overtakes but the ones we get are usually amazing moves and I'd rather a good race with 2 overtakes than a constant drs overtake snooze fest.

In other news Hamilton is getting pissy he isn't just being handed the championship on a platter.

What's with the shitty synth dopler sound when changing from and back to live action? Is it new, I haven't noticed it before but its super obnoxious.

More than I expected, actually.
And just what I said: Monaco is unforgiving after all.

Leclerc crashed after very lightly bumping the rails and I really hope the gearbox doesn't need to be changed, otherwise he'd lose his pole.

And I guess Vettel is slowly warming up to the car, being 8th in an Aston Martin, when Hamlam ended up 7th in a Mercedes, is quite good... and Gasly was on fire, churning a 6th place out of his AlphaTauri. Quite a feat. Too bad Perez ran into a large group of drivers at the end of his lap, it really ruined his time.
 
I really hope Leclerc can keep his pole. I think Verstappen will win the race 8unless something unexpected happens and we know who will win then. And Aston Martin seems to have found the solution Mercedes has found earlier: modifications on the floor of the car. it will be interesting if this slight upward trend will continue so far Vettel has had more problems during races then Stroll

I really hope Aston Martin finds their groove, but I remain rather skeptical. Vettel narrowly got through Q1 and in Q3, he stayed on 8th place mainly cause Perez' lap was ruined by 3 cars (one of which was Vettel, ironically) being in a really bad spot for letting Perez past.

AM has some way to go but honestly, this season feels like a filler before next years new regulations, which hopefully will allow better racing and see the end of DRS shenanigans.

Lol why would I take anything he's saying seriously?
Of course he fears this change will upset the status quo, but let's face it, Mercedes is going to be strong in 2022 as well. They have great engineers.

The merc will be strong but with closer racing and hopefully easier to follow cars Hamilton is going to have to learn defensive techniques that aren't just his usual punt them off the road and plead his innocence with the stewards afterwards.
