i had this exact same thought too yesterday and have felt unclean since. though it does make me smile a little knowing that if grussel wins then mercedes will be stuck with him. he's out of contract end of this year and they'd have to sign him to a new contract but it's clear as day they don't want to.
i think i'd laugh myself into a coma if russel won and max replaced him next year though. enjoy alpine, "champion".
 
Question. I am pirating the races this year but don't have a solution for the races I can't watch live. Is anyone aware of a repository where I could watch the race after it aired?

Pre-race commentors pointing out that Norris and Verstappen's cars are broken down before the race has started. They expect to see more cars breaking down during the race. Lmao.

edit: damn if they're basing their supposed battery telemetry on any actual information from the teams it means that mercedes can boost down most of the back straight while the ferraris have to give up about half way through, gonna go ahead and register my guess of a +30 sec gap from lead merc to lead ferrari assuming there's no VSC/SC and go to sleep.

Honestly, I'm amazed at Stroll and Alonso, they somehow are dragging a shitbox that 2 weeks ago the fucking designer said it would cause unreparaible nerver damage if they drove for more than 15 laps above Cadillac and Williams which have the 2nd and 1st engines of the season respectively.
Also how is williams so fucking bad, they went from having excel spreadsheets to run their logistics and spare parts and parts of the car design to being owned by a australian big tech firm and a former mercedes guy as their CEO back to their latifi days.
I don't think Sainz and Albon want to be known for a WDC assist this year.
 
hopefully lance is parking it on the straight so we get a safety car.
