Regs are shit, but what do you expect from one of the worst Ferrari team principals and the fia

That being said: I’m happy for Hadjar. Kid is going to break the curse

Imagine if this regs make f1 flop in ratings when they just got billions in licensing rights and new engines manufacturers and new sponsors.
The F1 ratings were going to flop no matter what because it's now on Apple TV and no one has that shit.

Literally the same shit already happened with MLS.

Lower series thoughts on drivers I like

Ugo kept slater behind in f3 sprint which is big for season standings

Herta is utter garbage and crashed again this time into tsolov who was pissed. Great job cadi chasing this talentless nepo baby just cause he’s murican

Stenshorne top 10 we move

Dunne will replace colapinto mid year

Total shitshow. I'm not gonna watch this season specially with the Merc advantage as it is currently. Have fun coming up with short term fixes, maFIA.

This season is a shit show they might as well add boost strips and items as this is video game levels of chicanery.
-super clipping
-spool up times to get off the line
-Still being the size of a full crew pickup
-lack of down force / drive like fwd vehicle
-battery management / recovery systems
Points to the drivers for getting into these screaming carbon fiber lithium ion bombs. One electrical glitch and you are into the wall. Though sounds like hydraulic controls are not any more reliable this year. The script this year seem to be all about Ayatollah Antonelli and Osama Bin Russel. How the FiA lined this up with a war in Iran I will never know.

So far the only ones not doing that are al-Merqaedes, and I reckon they will speak up after WDC/WCC

Was there any case in history of fundamental regs being this bad?

Or maybe it's just a 4D chess move from engine manufacturers to reinforce the notion that electrifying cars is shit for performance. Cars 2 all over again, we need Lightning McQueen Liam Lawson on the case asap

This is also why F1 dropped off a lot of people's radar in europe because the sport went to paid channels and a lot of people won't pay 30 € just for seeing F1 races. Directly undercutting a lot of the sponsors who used to pay megabux for the sheer visibility you could get from being an F1 sponsor back in the peak years.

The fact that the WDC in a field that hasn't changed much since last year is now not discussed in contention for a repeat, it means shit got rocked to such fundamental levels that F1 may just be damaged beyond repair.

All of the WDCs on the grid couldn't even make the top 5 positions, with the best driver currently on the grid stuck at near bottom.

If you're in the FIA, you should be shitting bricks right now.

And whoever takes the WDC this year, better be happy with taking it with an asterisk next to his name.

Not necessarily. Recall that Norris only won by 2 championship points.

Did you miss what happened in Q1?

Or are you referring to Carlos Sainz?

The point I was making is that was because of a mechanical issue, and not because the current cars are impossible to drive for someone of Verstappen's caliber.
His teammate, Isack Hadjar, qualified P3.
And proud we are of Hadjar for taking a small step to break the curse. And you're still ignoring my point. (I can make the alternative point of Stroll being dead last if we're talking about #2 drivers.)

All of the WDCs on the grid are doing badly. People who should be closer to the top of the grid (and who might be in another other sport with a semblance of continuity, which is like every other sport - and no, I don't need to be reminded of the state of the Washington Capitals if we're going to talk about Not a Bunny's team roster), it is absolutely shocking that two of the WDCs are suffering from mechanical failures and the current champ isn't even discussion as a contender this year.

In any other sport, conditions like this, where winning seems to be out of the control of the people most qualified to win, it would be hard not to say things are fucked.

This here is interesting
In case you missed it, during Q3 something fell off Talibantonelli's car and was just there on the track. Before the red flag got triggered, Norris drove over it (with just the left tires, didn't look like a front wing impact)

I'd say if Norris told the truth, that's a real safety nightmare (like, if drivers need to choose between paying attention to what's in front of them and the data on the steering wheel)

MLS fag here.

Where F1 doesn’t benefit from this partnership at all, many of the smaller MLS clubs get a nice shot in the arm because of it. It also makes watching your MLS team a LOT easier (don’t have to deal with gay cable lockouts).

I’ve had an F1 TV subscription for years because I love switching between the dash cams. As much as this season is going to suck, this will probably be the best year to have the subscription given all of the engine clipping and other technical difficulties the drivers are having. There’s bound to be a ton of radio gold and fines dished out too.

I was watching Max’s cam when his car lost control. His reaction time is so insane that within milliseconds of him knowing he lost control, he relinquished his hold of the steering wheel. Everyone and their mother is talking shit about the new cars and the regulations, and the consensus is that they’ll just have to settle.
