Didn't the third brake pedal get outlawed after 6 or less races?
They got banned but grandfathered in I think, that's why McLaren still got a driver's champion in 99, but that was it.

Not even newey and the Mercedes engine could outpace a former Benetton cheater (brawn) and the Ferrari international assistance.

Renault managed the same in 05 and 06 because of their tuned mass damper that Ferrari cried about incessantly, that and Alonso were the only thing that could make Schumacher lose.

Holy shit, Piastri 7 tenths up the first non Mclaren (Leclerc). I suspect though that the gaps will be lower when real Quali comes along

Also Hamilton having issues with his gearbox. Oh dear. Imagine they have to replace it in the next 2 hours

I missed all practice this weekend, did anyone bin it? Or really, did anything interesting happen at all?
Just caught the last 5 minutes to see hamilton unable to downshift ha.

Not really. Some testdrivers drove in FP1 but nothing happened. Bearman almost binned it in FP1 but he caught the car. And Mclaren is apparently still the fastest despite the new TD

hadjar 6th in q2. they should promote him in tsunodas place really
Hadjar needs to stay and develop at VCARB and Tsunoda needs to remain through the season to work out the issues with the car. Red Bull Racing’s got a massive issue with their car that simply switching drivers isn’t going to fix. Perez, a driver with a lot of experience and with Grand Prix wins, couldn’t figure it out. Lawson, RB’s second coming of Daniel Ricciardo, couldn’t get a grip on it. Tsunoda, another experienced driver, is also struggling to figure it out. It’s clear at this point that the drivers aren’t the problem.

The truth is that over half the grid sucks. Only a handful of drivers are actually any good and the rest are just carbabies. Max also puts in way more hours practicing than his teammates do.

I hope Cadillac develops a good car and Alex Palou destroys the field.
