I think it's the frustration of the qualifying, the stupid arbitrary new rules and the Williams strategy that made Russell go full tilt.

I don't think they had a plan, I think they were just hoping for it to fall into their lap somehow.

They should have started on softs, pitted immediately then gone on Hards and held out for a VSC/SC/Red.
