I bet the tickets will be gone a few weeks down the road once the next race results come in. If for example Fererari or Mclaren win a race or if Hamilton takes a podium in the next two races they will rush to get the last tickets.

Also, I just saw that Aston Martin allegedly gave Newey a tour of the factory and that all employers were advised to stay away so no detail leaks. If true there will be details soon I'd wager because leaks will always happen.
Interesting, Business F1 had him pegged as going to Ferrari but I realize they're about as reliable a source as Weekly World News. Personally I thought he'd just say fuck it and go design yachts, he's already said that any new financial incentive doesn't interest him - what more does he need to achieve in F1?

Silverstone promoter are blaming red bull dominance for them failing to sell out their tickets this year.

Nothing to do with the fact it's cheaper for me to fly to Belgium, stay in a hotel, and go to Spa (which is a better circuit) than it is to just drive down the road to Silverstone, honest.

Sorry British promoters, cultLH are just a bunch of glory supporters.
This is the first year that over 12s have to pay for an adult ticket. Previously, if you were under 16, you could get in as a child. Dynamic pricing has been introduced, which has pissed off a lot of people.

Added to that, you've got Euro 2024 semi-final matches on the evening of the Friday and Saturday. That might deter people from making plans to watch practice and qualifying - the thought that England might get through and they might be nowhere near a screen to watch it.

I don't know if it'd be popular over there but they should work out a deal, especially if England gets through, to put the matches up on the track screens. They do that a lot over here.

Hell, one of the Indy races I went to put the Premier League on in the morning before practice because it was on opening weekend or something.

Can someone explain the appeal of watching wealthy born people play irl racing games? My friends recently got infected with this shit and its so boring i hate it.
You're going to get a lot of different answers to that. For some people it's the wrecks. For some people it's the team drama (see also: DTS fans).

For me it's the two big pieces coming together: Technical excellence and driver ability. Seeing a driver/car combo just flat out run around a track better than everyone else.

I appreciate the skill and nerve needed to really get everything out of vehicles that are completely alien to the average person. Then again, I was born into a family that has been involved in motorsports so I do have a bit of perspective what goes into a race weekend.

Some of us are old farts who remember the days when F1 was about pushing the limits of vehicle technology and the driver. A lot of F1 followers in this group - myself included - understand where you're coming from.

If I hadn't been following F1 since the '80s, I probably wouldn't be following it today.

Having rich geographically diverse people participate adds glamour and excitement. The Stroll family doesn't just get paid from this, they take a huge financial and personal risk. They put money and the life of a family member on the table. That sense of physical and financial danger adds excitement. The inclusion of corrupt billionaires who end up under sanction or lolcow their way into bankruptcy or jail adds to the drama and DTS gives a great reality tv style inside look at it all. Yes, I am here for the lifestyles of the rich and famous stuff as exemplified by DTS in addition to the racing action. NASCAR and Indy don't do exotic old money glamour the same way or attract those same sort of sponsors. I still watch them too, but they don't give me as much of an entertainment boner as F1/DTS does.

This all also is an interesting contrast to the typical Finnish driver that gets into this sport. They NEVER come from a background of money and even guys like Bottas come from a background of a middle-class parentage.

Retarded ramblings but this time qualifying addition. May stop by tomorrow with some more retarded opinions though.

Max gonna win tomorrow barring some shenanigans but dare I say we are soo fucking back?

Norris really making a case for himself this year. Curious to see what time oscar could have set though. Lando obviously got more experience but he does all seem to edge out oscar with skill for now at least. I do think oscar the better driver. But it's been fun watching lando be competive this year. Feels good.

So petty with the hamilton hate I'm actually excited about merc showing some promise lately. Hopefully not enough for Lewis to win anything this year but I'm hoping this trajectory continues into 2025 and merc ends up ahead of ferrari. That'd be much deserved. What a fucking shitshow merc is though like off the track (and on it for that matter) can't go a session without some crackpot conspiracies and tension stoking. The fans more and more unhinged by the day. It's crazy 3 months ago they were circle jerking over red bull drama just to end up in their own toxic workplace drama. It's great. I love it. Russell still a bitch though I can't stand when he starts whining. Lewis at least like has a reason to whine regardless of it mostly being cope.

Aston Martin fucking blows dicks dude I don't get it. It reminds me alot of the pink merc. Emulating a concept fine but if you don't understand it what's the point? They continue to go backwards as if they had no fucking clue what they were doing besides it looks like what the fast teams are doing. Nando deserves more. It's so shit. Also sick of hearing about how stroll has half the race starts his teammate does. No shit. They say that like it's an excuse for Lance and not fernando being an absolute Ironman of longevity in the sport. It's so silly. Lance has like 30 less starts than Max. He's been in f1 longer than half the grid. It's crazy they make that excuse. There isn't any. He has a seat cause his dad owns the team. I'm sure armaco dosent want the commentators saying that but for fucks sake do they think I'm retarded? That has to be aimed at casuals. Either way fucking clowns. He could have won 33 by now if they were just any bit more competent.

Danny should stop doing gay shit before goes out and provides gay results. At this point it's like he has a humiliation fetish or something. No bald fuck to shit on you this weekend so you gonna write some faggy shit on your helmet and end up out q3? Awesome. Kys. I cannot fucking stand this dude anymore. I know yuki also had a bad qualifying but still. Stop this lame shit. It's like what edgy teens cept he's a grown man sitting in the back of the field.

Feels like a sainz williams announced is coming. Logans done for. They gave him a chance with the upgraded bits and he's still dead last. Hes never gonna figure this out. Flordia man was a smart move with the introduction of miami but theres no hope for the guy. The timing of that gotta be on purpose with the upgrades, no more excuses, and you can announce sainz while he's in Spain. Either way I think the decisions is coming tomorrow night where sainz is going but it do feel like williams/merc depending on what they decided to do with kimi. Or who the fuck knows obviously anything can happen with how fragile these contracts seem to be.

Fucking checo. There really is no excuse. You shouldn't be given a 1+1 just cause everyone else is afraid to team with max. If he's gonna be shit put a shitter in the seat. They could probably do no worse. Max cannot single handedly win the wcc this year. Checos not gonna get better. He's only getting worse. Don't care how close to p2 he is. Everyone else is doing more with less. I get the gaps closed on rb and may even be non existent at this point but they gotta have a stipulation in there that allows them to yeet him whenever. No way they are confident he's there guy for 2025. Redbull gotta alot of retards behind the scenes this year it seems but they cannot be that retarded.

If I think of more I'll add it to my schizo cap of the gp.

Would rate my own post as autistic if i could. My b fellas.

I didn't expect other teams to catch up by this much. The initial dominance of the RB20 lead me to believe Red Bull would just runaway with it again.

Could the initial RB18 concept actually have less potential than the other designs?

McLaren has made it obvious that Lando gets first dibs on whatever improvements McLaren's engineers make, with Pastry getting the crumbs. It would be interesting to see how much closer those two would be in identical cars.

I'm not surprised that Zak Brown is all in on both of them, as they're both strong drivers (Lando has experience, Pastry has raw talent like you said). As long as they keep getting better (which they will), they've both got a seat with McLaren for as long as they want it.

Ferrari seems to be in a little slump at the moment. Or they are too dependent on high temperatures. I hope they will look better in the race

That defence from Russell was awful, "I'll move off the racing line, feel free to go around me".

Mercs are having a bad time with tyres it seems.

"Nice clean stop" - Crofty about a 5.5 second stop.

"Nice clean overtake with plenty of racing room" - Bob and vagine commentator about Hambone after he runs another driver off the road.
