He already did according to Lando. From the press conference:

Reporter said:
Hi, Emily Zullik from the Mail. Another one for Lando please. I'm wondering we could get your reaction to having Donald Trump in the garage before the race?
Lando said:
Uhh...yah..I didn't see him in the garage to be honest. I was busy prepping for the race, but he saw me after and he came up to congratulate me so... I guess an honor because um when whenever you have someone like this um it, it uh has to be an honor for you to kind of... for them to come up to you to take time out of their life to pay their respect for what you've done. Umm...he said he was my lucky charm [Laughs] because its my win so I don't know if he's going to come to more races now but um yeah uh there's a lot of special people uh cool people who've been here this weekend. Donald is someone that uh you got to have respect for in many ways and um uh yah for anyone like that who acknowledges what you can go out and do and acknowledges the work ethic that goes into things um you got to be thankful for that and uh I was, so yah, cool moment and um that's all.

Reddit, predictably, is freaking out:

And Sainz was penalized for slightly hitting Piastri. Fuck me that wasn't even intentional, Sainz had a light slide in that corner. And on the flipside Piastri did send Sainz into the off a few laps prior but of course THAT wasn't penalized. F1 stewards have become a joke

Looks like the bollard did cause floor damage for Max.

Though it does look like the Mclarens took a step forwards in being able to fight with them. Hopefully that carries over to future tracks so we get a competitive championship.

Piastri wasn’t running a full upgrade package only Lando did so hopefully we see more from both cars when in full spec. What was concerning was the lack of pace following Perez for Lando but once in clean air the car really worked, which was confirmed by the qualifying pace.

As a Sainz fan - he deserved that penalty. He was absolutely all over the place and frustration got the better of him, leading him to ruin Piastri's race.

I kind of feel like we are going back in time when the aerodynamics were so fragilke you coudln't keep your car behind the frontrunner less you loose all stability. That or Perez simply had a less draggy setup. Hamilton couldn't overtake Perez either despite being faster and having DRS all the time

We've had thay since about race 3 of 2022. The commentators like to pretend the new rules solved all problems in the sport but they just made the 1.5 gap into a 1.2 gap, now with added DRS trains.

There's some retarding going around about maybe if we increase DRS to 1.5 it will give overtaking. Which obviously it won't as it doesn't currently when they're 0.9 behind and it would make DRS trains worse and the Sainz singapour strategy the go to.

Damn I didn't know there was a thread for F1 in KF. Trump derangement syndrome is still going strong, huh? I didn't know some of the bongland populace were affected by it.
Only the faggots as you can imagine, literally no one of any sound mind cares otherwise. Lando even gave him thanks for taking time out to meet him... Pewis Pamilton on the other hand would probably have given some DEI approved response had Bad Orange Man wandered down to Merc.

Yep, he deserved a penalty but it is surprising that Checo didn't get one for his Stuka impersonation in the first corner.

Checo got so lucky, turn 1 madness rarely gets penalties tbf... because he didn't destroy anyone they would just write it off as a racing incident. Would have loved it if he'd took Max out though, nothing against him just for the pure chaos.

I'll be fair I enjoyed Miami this year, for perspective the only other race I've enjoyed in the last 2 seasons was Brazil and that's because Fernando put in a legendary shift!

Why would he get one? There was no collision to be causing a collision. If we're going to start penalising overly optimistic lunges that hurt no one then we may as well pack up the sport and call it a day.
